Trick Or Treat?

I smiled as I saw my boyfriends text.
Me, you, cabin Halloween night?

It was going to be Halloween tomorrow and I was excited! Halloween is my favorite holiday. Not cause of the candy.

Its just the whole night is...scary. Walking at 11:00 Pm at night, the streets dark, the wind howling, it's just perfect.

"Ash?" I heard my mom call out.

"Yah mom?"

"It's dinner time. What the hell are you doing?"

I quickly texted Jackson back and ran downstairs.

"I'm here mom. I was just talking to someone." I said, sitting down next to my older sister, Shay.

"Oh yah? And who would that be?" She grinned.

"You tell me sis." Shit,I was hungry and my mom decided to cook my least favorite food.

"Mom, I hate steaks." I whined.

"Girl, you never eat anything do you?" Shay said, waving her steak in front of my face.

"Stop! Ew. And I eat but there's things I don't like."

"There's a chicken sandwich in the fridge." Mom said.

"Yes!" Thank god the wrapper was still on.

"So what are you doing for Halloween tomorrow?" Shay asked once I microwaved my chicken.

"Hanging out with Jack" I replied, my mouth full.

"Don't you think you guys are going little bit fast? You've started dating a month ago and so far, you've been with him mostly everyday." Mom said, giving me a look.

The hell?

"Mom, he's my boyfriend and we don't hang out everyday."

"Ash, so far this whole month, you've been home for a week only! Those other weeks, either you've been with him or he was here"

I sighed.

"Mom, what the hell? You've never said anything about him and now you do?" I said, pissed off.

I loved Jack. We met at the gas station near my house. I was short on money and he payed it for me. We traded phone numbers and the next week, he asked me out. He didn't go to high school, he was a collgee student.

He's tall,dark blond hair, with pretty brown eyes. I was shocked when he asked me cause he can do way better.I'm just a short, brown haired girl with bad skin.

My skin isnt bad all of the time. It just gets red and disgusting when I'm nervous.

But that date was amazing. A night to remember. The kiss was amazing too.

"Hello ash?!"

"Huh?"

"Snap out of it! I don't want you hanging out with him tomorrow." She said firmly.

I looked at my mother, suprised.

"Excuse me?"

"I don't want you hanging out with him tomorrow. "She repeated.

"Why not?! Why are you on my case tonight?!"I yelled. What the hell was wrong with her?

"Lower your voice! And what I say goes! I have a bad feeling about that kid. I've seen him lurking around after dark around these neighbor last week and I'm protecting you!"

"So now your stalking him?" I smirked.

Shay was looking at me, indicating for me to shut up but I refused.

"Young lady, you will not use that tone with me. I'm trying to keep you save so I don't need your attitude"She snapped.

God I was getting sick of her! Since I entered high school, all she's done is nothing but nag!
Where were you last nigh?Don't you know....
What hell are you wearing? Change the skirt.
Why are you wearing too much makeup?
And blah blah blah

"Mom, I don't know what's up tonight but you've never had a problem with Jack. So I'm hanging out with no matter what." I said coldly. Before she could say anything, I ran to my room.

I searched Jack in my contacts and called him.

"Hello?"

"Jack its me!"

"Baby what's wrong?" He said more alert.

"It's my mother! She's being unreasonable. She's not allowing me to hang out with you tomorrow."

"Why?"

"She thinks your bad news." I laughed bitterly.

"Well, we'll have to prove her wrong." He chuckled.

"Definitely." I whispered.

"When?"

I went to my closet , grabbed my special bag and opened it. I smiled as I  saw my precious treasures.

I grabbed a long sliver scalpel and carefully made a small cut on my finger. Drops of blood stained the carpet, making it look like someone splashed red juice on it.

"Tomorrow is halloween right? Let's give her a treat "
