Blizzard in the Desert

6- Not too late

The couple had returned to Karina's room, and once again, they both sat on her bed in silence.
After some time they both spoke up, trying to apologize. Both startled, Karina chuckled and told him he could start first. But the male shook his head, therefore,Karina began her speech first.

"I am so sorry Nuada...I didn't know that people were still bothering you. And I just made things worse by making you worry."

Nuada was taken aback for a moment.  "Who told you-"

"Liz." Karina immediately replied. "Liz told me about how people still spoke ill of you. I'm so sorry Nuada I shouldn't have kept things all to myself, I should have confronted you, and then you would have been less worried and-" But then, the female heard him chuckle. "What's so funny?" She asked a tad irritated.
She was pouring her heart out and he was laughing?

"Forgive me..my snow flake..." He said, looking at her with mischief in his eyes. Karina immediately tensed, her heartbeats increased, her face became hot, and she was sure it wasn't the room temperature that changed. "I see that still has effect." The prince laughed lightly.  "Shut up!" Karina squeaked only making Nuada laugh some more.
Soon he stopped and looked at her with an unreadable expression. But she somehow she had a feeling she knew what he was feeling.

"Come here." He waved her over and she shyly went closer, only for him to pull her against his chest, as she sat in his lap. "My love...I am the one who should be sorry. I should have considered your feelings, but instead I completely ignored what could happen in the furture. And to be quite frank, the people here do not bother me so much. After all, you are all I truly desire."

Karina looked at him with sad eyes and she couldn't help the slight venom that laced her voice "But you said.." Although she was cut short by a finger being placed on her lips. "I am very aware of the foolish things I said Karina. But I meant none of them. I was..."
The man now seemed nervous to confess his feelings. "I was... Good heavens what's wrong with me?" He whispered the last part to himself.

"You were what? Tell me. You know I won't judge. "

Nuada smiled. "I was hurt Karina. I immediately thought of the worst, and it did not help that some days ago some group of human males confronted me about how you would never stay with a...creature like me; to put it into lighter words." The girl had fresh tears welling her eyes. " I will not lie and say that I did not feel insecurity. And never in my many years of life, had I thought that I would have been wounded by mere words from humans. Till today I still wonder why you are so kind to me, and to have even falling for me. After all that I have done.."
Nuada wiped away her tears as she leaned into his touch. "And I am aware that what I am about to say seems childish, foolish if not, but I feel this pull between us. A human granting me so much of their love. I may be a prince and have been lavished with riches and pampering like you said; but be not deceived my snow flake, for my childhood, and that of my sister, was very lonely. That is why we seemed to unseperable. That is why I even harboured feelings for my sister."
Karina blushed at his words. How could he not feel embarrassed by his confession? If she were in his shoes, she wouldn't dare say she had a crush on her sibling. Well, Nuada was not one to shy over most matters.
"You are selfless Karina." He said, snapping her out of her thoughts. "You are always there for others. And most importantly you are always by my side. You have patience, and you thought me so much. Then again, you are rare beauty. " She felt her face become even more red, if that were even possible. "Nuada.." she began, but her male lover interrupted her. "Do not try to deny it. When you smile you are the sun itself. Honestly,  its hard to think that someone like you has such "chilling" powers." Karina giggled. "That is why I fear my love..because you are an angel, and I am tainted. Tainted with blood of both innocent and guilty. I show no mercy, and you are filled with love. I have nothing better to give other than riches, which I now know that is not what you are after." The male said chuckling at the last sentence.

"Nuada..." Karina had had enough of the male looking down on himself. "...you are all I need. You aren't merciless. And I do not care with who's blood your hands are stained with. Of course, it certainly isn't a good thing, but I know that what you did was in a fit of rage and especially sadness. I would feel devastated if I knew that my kind was being killed for no reason. Especially if I were the one who was suppose to be in charge, and prevent any evil from happening. Either way Nuada, you have changed, and you are now a good person. You are supportive of your sister with her current relationship with Abe, and don't think I haven't seen you with Liz, trying to comfort her during one of her emotional mood swings. You can deny all you want, but I know that if Hellboy were in danger, you would do anything to help. And I told you this before. You may have approched your problems in the wrong way, but what you did was for your people. So, that's kind of a bonus for having your kingdom at heart." She winked at him, and that just seemed to melt the prince into her embrace even the more. Her words comforted him in an unimaginable way. "And..no you are not childish, nor foolish. I feel a connection to you as well. I could go blind and I would always know where you are.
If you were by my side or not. I have never felt so strongly for someone Nuada...that is why I told you that I don't see myself as a queen. You are a very important person and you need-"

Nuada kissed her. The kiss was full of hunger and need. Laying her down on her back, he continued his affectionate torment upon her lips.  But she didn't back down either. She gave just as much passion and emotion into the kiss they shared. When he finally pulled away, he placed his forhead against her's as he stared into her dark eyes which sparkled with desire. "You, are all I need. You are perfectly fit to be a queen. Or are you seeking for compliments my love? I had just listed all the beautiful things that you are; the list goes on but dont you think you are being a bit narcissistic?" He said teasingly.

"I-I am not seeking for compliments thank you very much! I am very aware I am awesome!" She said playfully. The male simply grinned and kissed her again. "I love you. You are the only person I wish to pass my entire life with. So please have faith in us. For I can assure you, we will rule just fine."

"It won't be easy."

"Is anything ever easy when it comes to us?" He asked grinning.

"I guess we are just so great we love a good challenge." She replied grinning back.

They locked their lips together once more, but this time it was more heated. Nuada groaned into the kiss as Karina moaned, feeling his hands roam her body. He squeezed her thighs and parted from the kiss to then attack her neck.
The female ran her hands through his silky hair and grazed her blunt nails on his scalp earning another groan. If not growl.
She then lifted his face with both hands and kissed his jawline, up to his left ear. She gently bit his earlobe pulling unto it.

"Karina... be careful what you ask for." The prince said through clentched teeth.

"And what may I be asking for?" She whispered.

"Don't test me.."

"What if I do.."

Her answer was his right hand making its way up her thigh towards her rear.

"What am I getting myself into?"

I apologise for the late update(which was meant for last week) but school has been hectic and I hardly have time to log intk wattpad. Luckily I have drafts ready so that I don't have to stress much^^"
I'm really sorry again and I really hope you all enjoyed this chapter.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

The next chapter will contain a bit of an adult scene, personally I am not one to dive DEEP into those kind of scenes, but I will admit that the first few lines will be heated, and I will leave a sign on when the "steamy " part comes to an end, for those who feel embarrassed and are not comfortable.
I REPEAT THOUGH: It's NOT a LEMON. It's just a mild heated scene. So don't expect too much xD
