when ally got home the first thing she thought was to text ellie she always told ellie anything and everything. she decided to hold off considering she just met darby last night and she didn't really want to jinx things she wanted to go on a second date before she told anyone about darby.

All day Ally has been thinking about Darby she reached into the pocket of his CSU hoodie and pulled out the tiny piece of paper written in black ink in huge numbers 555-1201. ally decided to put darby and as a contact. it took her about 30 tries to come up with the perfect text to suggest the idea of a second date without completely coming out front and saying it. In the end she ended up sounding desperate but whatever, she kind of was!

ally: hey darby! it's ally, i had a lot of fun last night and you suggested the idea this morning of seeing me again which I would definitely love to do tonight if you're free?
she hadn't heard back from darby she texted him about three hours ago. she remembered he said he had a business meeting. maybe it ran late? or maybe he just didn't really want to see her he just wanted to make her feel wanted? maybe he gave her the wrong number? all these thoughts flying through her head. she didn't wanna get her hopes up but she really wanted to see him again she thinks she finally found her knight in shining whatever.

ally wasn't much of a "romance" person, she dated people and she slept with people, but she wasn't really big on the whole cliché "soulmate" or "the knight in shining whatever" she also didn't really think marriage was for her.

it was her phone. maybe it was darby. maybe it was ellie. she left her phone facedown for about two minutes because she didn't wanna answer right away because then she would seem desperate. after about two minute she flipped her phone over it was from Darby.

darby: hey ally! so sorry, meeting ran late. how does dinner at the cecconis in west hollywood sound? pick you up at 8?
ally: alright see you then!
darby: wear your hottest dress, some friends of mine are going to be there for a business dinner may introduce them if you're ok with that?
ally: alright i'll dress super slutty and gorgeous so you can show me off;)
darby: you're making me think of doing dirty things to you at work, don't do this to me
ally: wow darby way to keep it professional;)
after hearing back from darby and making our plans for the night, i decided to grab a shower, i wanted to smell really good and shave so I could look extra good.
in the shower all i could think about was darby for some reason i couldn't get him off my mind i only met him last night but we did talk for nearly four hours about our lives and i told him some of my deepest secrets, important stories, and all about my childhood so we did know each other pretty well. and he was a really good listener, which i need because i talk, a lot. i've never felt like this about anyone before except one other guy. but we'll keep that for later
