A/N Before I begin the tale of Hinny, I must first say that I know my other story hasn't been getting any updates recently and I sincerely apologise for that, I promise I will still update that story, but this one will be my number 1 priority as I have a whole storyline written out in the notes section of my phone!
Anyway, one more thing, please don't compare this exactly to the books or movies like "That never happened in the book!" or "The movie never did that!", because I'll admit it, I don't remember EVERYTHING that happened in the books and movies and this is just a fanfiction, it's not meant to be exactly like the original.
So yeah, I'll get a move on with the first chapter now! Enjoy!

Harry couldn't believe what had just happened. Voldermort, the Dark Lord, who had been terrorising the Wizarding world for the past seven years, was dead. Gone. No more.
Harry's wand was still outstretched in his shaking hands. He couldn't move, he was paralysed with absolute disbelief.
All was quiet and still.

After a while he turned back to face Hogwarts, his home, and began to walk towards it. As he was nearing the entrance to the great hall, cheers and clapping erupted into the air from the crowds who were watching the last stand. People began to run towards him, full of congratulations, but Neville yelled, "Back off everyone would you?! Harry just defeated Voldermot, give the man some space!"
Harry smiled at this, Neville had grown so much in character and confidence since their first year.
As everyone apologised and started to walk away, Neville jogged up to Harry and hugged him. When he pulled away, he said, "Thanks Harry. My mum and dad can be at rest now."
"I'm sure they'd be really proud of you Neville, for everything you've done today." Harry replied, still smiling.
Neville smiled back then walked away calling out, "Luna? Where are you? I need to talk to you?! Luna..."
Harry continued to walk through the entrance, students calling out their thanks to him as he passed.
When Harry got inside the Great Hall, he was no longer smiling, just looking around at the devastation. Bodies lying everywere, sheets covering them whilst other students huddled around them quietly sobbing.

He passed Parvati Patil, crying into a tissue as Professor Trelawney covered her twin sister, Padma Patil's body with a sheet.
Harry felt sick, all of this was his fault.
He carried on walking until a female figure engulfed him in a hug. Hermione.
"Harry! It's over! We've won!" She looked joyful that the war was over, but she still had a look of sadness to her. Ron followed behind her, not even attempting to cover up his emotions of grief, his eyes were slightly red and puffy, showing he'd been crying. Harry couldn't blame him.
Harry hugged Hermione then released her.
"Are you both okay?" Harry asked, concerned.
"We're fine, aren't we Ron?" She stepped back and took Ron's limp hand in hers before looking at him with a sense of love in her eyes.
This went on for a few moments before Ron and Hermione noticed Harry smirking out of the corner of their eyes.
"Oh shut up Harry" Ron said with a tone of embarrassment in his voice. He went forward and hugged Harry tightly, glad that his best friend wasn't actually dead.

Soon Harry went up to Mr and Mrs Weasley and their sons and apologised for Fred's death, something he felt extremely guilty about, which when he said this, his opinion was immediately voiced down by the rest of the Weasley men and Mrs Weasley.
After Harry had talked to everyone, he went up to Ron and Hermione, who were currently staring into each others eyes with love and cleared his throat.
"Umm...sorry to interrupt this 'moment', but I was just wondering if either of you had seen Ginny?" His voice got quieter near the end of his sentence.
When they heard his voice, Ron and Hermione immediately jumped out of their trance.
"What was that Harry?" Hermione asked.
"Umm...I was just asking if either of you two had seen Ginny?" Harry replied to her.
At the mention of his sisters name, Ron glared at Harry slightly.
Hermione ignored Ron's glare at Harry and replied to him,
"Ginny? She's down by the Black Lake, she went a little while ago."
Harry thanked Hermione and began to walk out of the Great Hall to the lake. He needed to talk to Ginny.
