Chapter 3
He finally looks up to say something."I know this is difficult and so different from what your used to but I'm begging you to give it a little while at least. You only have to be like this until we are fully mated."
I sniffle from the tears that almost started. He touched my hand and tried to soothe my fears of what could happen.
Once the timer went off I whisper to him, " can you please go wake sky for dinner?"
He nods with a frown on his face. Once he's out of the room I take a deep breathe and pulled out the lasagna and set it on the pot holder on the table. I pull out four plates so we can all have some. I cut into the food and put it on each plate and set a fork on each one.
Sky came in rubbing his eyes." Hey buddy come sit down and enjoy your favorite dinner."
He smiled up at me and quickly sit down in he chair. Cole comes in and smiles at the scene and sits down as well. " thank you, my love."
I blush and that's when my dad makes an appearance. He nods to me and glares at cole but bows his head in respect. My dad must have just got the news that cole was my mate and he did not look happy about it. He grunted as he sat down and started to eat so I did the same. After dinner was finished my father locked himself inside his office, muttering under his breath as he goes, and so I asked cole to put sky to bed while I cleaned the dishes.
I was on the last dish when I feel warm arms wrap around my waist and pull me into a muscular chest and I screeched until I head his voice. " my love, don't be scared I'm not here to hurt you."
I sigh in relief that it's just him and not some stranger. I'm still scared of him but I can also feel love. The love of the mate bond. He gently turns me around and tips my chin up so that I looking into his beautiful eyes.
He kisses my cheek and pulls my hand to the door and we started heading to his room.
His room was right next to ours and he opened the door just to pull me into his room. Once in there I could see a king size black bed and in the corner of the room scared me more then anything else was a cage as big as a small room with bars going from the floor to the ceiling and it had enough room for a small cot and a desk and a small sitting area for me to read. He pulls me to the cage and pushes me inside. I started to cry and he frowned and tried to shush me by rubbing my cheek through the cage bars. He finally got me to stop crying but I started to beg for answers, " why are you doing this to me? Mates are supposed to love you not put you in a cage...... what did I do wrong?"
He sighed and said ,
" my love, you have done nothing. This is tradition. Once you show obedience and loyalty this will change. You will have your freedom. Once we are one everything will be different."
With that he left the room. I fall onto the the cot and cried my heart and soul out. Why? Why did the moon goddess do this to me? Why take my mother and then make me be mated to the one person who would only keep me locked up?
My tears wouldn't stop coming but eventually I cried myself to sleep. I let the darkness of sleep take me for my hell called life.
I'M SORRY I DON'T WRITE OFTEN BUT MY LIFE IS HECTIC AND IM TRYING TO FIND TIME TO GIVE MY FOLLOWERS JOY IN READING MY BOOK SO IM ALSO HAVING A HARD TIME WITH IDEAS SO IF YOU HAVE ANY DON'T BE SHY TO SPEAK YOUR MIND.
