Jay’s POV
I head home, feeling terrified of being alive. I know the boys would never want to hurt me, but vampires are evil. They’re not like humans; they’re the spawn of the devil. They shouldn’t be allowed to live among us. I know I’m a werewolf, but I’m human most of the time. It’s just that one terrifying night a month and even then I don’t choose to hurt anyone. It’s not my fault. I can’t control it, whereas they can. Vampires hate werewolves, so where does that leave me and the boys? I don’t want to fall out with them because they're like family to me, but I just don’t see them being able to control themselves. It won’t be long before they’re running alongside those horrible vampires I was faced with earlier and when that happens, I won’t stand a chance at survival.
Siva’s POV
“Come on then” I say, as I stand up to leave. Kass then stands up too and we begin to make our way out of my house. Once we’re out, I lock the door and we begin to walk to Kass’ house. “Which way is it?” I ask her, not sure.
“Follow me” he says, as she begins to lead me to down the road.
It’s not long before we find ourselves outside Kass’ house. “This is it” she tells me, as she looks up at the house.
“Oh right” I say, nervously. I haven’t been in contact with another human since I was turned into this thing. The last person was Kass and that didn’t exactly go to plan did it?
“I’m scared” she says, as she turns towards me.
“Don’t worry, I’m here for you” I tell her, as I take hold of her hand. She then smiles at me, before opening the gate. We walk up the path, hand in hand. When we finally reach the door, Kass takes her key out of her pocket and then unlocks the door.
“Kass? Is that you?” I hear someone call from inside the house.
“Yes” she calls back, still sounding nervous. She then steps into the house. I follow her and then I close the door behind me. It’s not long before a middle aged woman appears in the door way.
“Mum” Kass says, in a strange tone. What’s going on? At that moment, a sudden rush off blood runs through my brain and the only instinct I have is to kill. I blink and once I open my eyes again, my vision seems different. Kass’ mum looks different. She no longer looks like a woman; she now looks like a meal. I run my tongue along my teeth, and then I realise that my incisor teeth seem more sensitive and sharper than usual. I flinch as I move my tongue away. I take one last look at Kass’ mum, before smirking. I try my hardest to stop myself from attacking her, but the temptation is too much. It’s like there’s a voice screaming in my head for me to do it. I can hear her heart beating and all I want to do is make it stop! I can’t control it anymore. It’s nature isn’t it? You can’t fight it. It’s just one of those things.
“Are you ok?” her mother asks, as she looks at me, but I can’t even think of an answer. I rush towards her, but Kass reaches her first. I watch as her mother tries to run, but Kass pushes her against the wall and starts to bite her neck. I finally reach her too, and I take the other side of her neck. I can feel the blood dripping down my chin, but unlike the last time, I don’t want to stop. I can’t stop. I just keep drinking, until there’s no more blood left in her lifeless body.
Once I’ve done, I pull my fangs out of her neck and then I look over at Kass with a smile plastered on my face. I never thought killing someone could feel so good. Kass soon pulls her teeth out too. Her mother’s body collapses onto the floor, leaving a trail of smeared blood down the wall.
I open my mouth to speak, but before I can, Kass holds onto my head and kisses me passionately. She runs her tongue along my teeth, getting all the blood she possibly can off. Once she pulls away, we smile at each other before walking through the door way and into the living room, leaving her mother dead on the floor. Kass heads straight through the room and into the kitchen, where she pulls a tea towel off of a hanger and then wipes the blood from her face. She then throws it over to me, where I do the same.
“I suppose we better get my stuff” she smirks, before looking around the room and picking up certain objects.
It’s not long before she has everything she needs and we make our way out of the house. I close the door behind us and then we make our way back down the path and out of the gate. Once we get onto the street, I take hold of Kass’ hand, before we both run off down the street. Even though we’re now dead, I don’t think I’ve ever felt more alive.
