As I walked out the door I looked for Caden, but she was gone, shit. I started walking around the block looking for her. I checked all the parks they had, but I couldn't find her. I was starting to get worried, someone could've taken her. What am I going to tell her grandma? Damn, it's getting late and I still haven't found her. This isn't good.

I walk back to the house to tell Caden's grandma that I haven't found her yet, but I'll look for her first thing in the morning. Her grandma didn't take the news so well. She kept blaming herself for being nosy. I had no words for her, because yes, she was nosy and she couldn't respect Caden's privacy. I started walking towards my car that I parked across the street.

When I reached the door I could hear feet shuffling on the other side. I made my way around the car and saw Caden hugging her knees, rocking back and forth crying.

"Caden?" I spoke softly, causing her to jolt in fear.

"S-Stay away from me!" Her voice raised.

"I just want to help Caden. It's late and cold, we should get you home. Your grandma is very worried about you."

"I could care less about h-how she feels. S-She messed everything up. I've l-lost trust in her." She spoke totally heartbroken.

"I'm really sorry about that Caden. You're welcome to come home with me for the night. I'll call your grandma later to let her know that you're safe. Would you like that?" She nodded slowly, as she got up off the ground.

"Alright, let's get in the car, but before we go to my place I'm going to make a stop first. If that's ok with you." I say opening the passenger door for her.

"We're here." I say pulling over in front of the ice cream shop.

"An ice cream shop?" She questions.

"It's not just an ice cream shop! Don't make it sound so boring." I scoff jokingly, smiling back at her, but she just gives me a blank look.

"Luke!! We almost didn't think you were gonna show up, mate." Calum says.

"Why wouldn't I?!" I say and Calum clears his throat looking behind me.

"Oh this is Caden, Caden this is Calum and Michael." I introduce, Calum and Michael waving enthusiastically and Caden giving a small smile.

I order the usual and the four of us sit down at a table. I know what Calum and Michael are thinking. They're thinking why I brought a girl to meet them and why I've never mentioned her to them before. I didn't get the chance to tell them because Caden was sitting right next to me.

"Where's the restroom?" She asks. The three of us point the way and when she was out of sight the two of them start throwing questions at me.

"Who is she and why haven't you mentioned her to us before?" Michael whisper yells.

"Guys calm down, shes a client and we didn't really have the best first therapy session. She's going to spend the night at my place for tonight." I explain.

"Oh ok, but wait isn't it like, illegal to sleep with your patients?" Calum asks.

"Yes, but I'm not sleeping with her she's staying over at my place. Two different things were talking about here." I say.

"Oh right, right. My bad, but looking at her she's pretty attractive. Just don't fall for her ok mate? Or else you're going to be in some deep shit." he laughs.

"Don't worry I can't afford to ruin my reputation." I say thinking twice about what Calum said.

Our conversation had ended when Caden came back from the bathroom. My ice cream had melted during our somewhat secretive conversation and I didn't feel like drinking it.

"So..." Calum says trying to break the ice.

"How old are you Caden?" She looks up from her lap, then back down.

"20" she responds softly, while looking at her lap still.

"Um, do you like music?" Michael asks.

"Never really had the time to enjoy music." she says without a stutter.

"Oh, well we could play a few songs for you sometime. I play the bass and Luke and Michael both play the guitar, and we sing too." Calum says doing his eyebrow dance. Caden had actually looks up from her lap and saw and started to laugh a little under her breath.

"That sounds nice." she says smiling at the two goofballs.

"Well it's getting late, we better get going." I say.

"Alright we'll see you tomorrow Lukey." Calum says giving a cheeky smile at the nickname.

The drive back to the apartment wasn't long, but it was quiet. We made our way into the lobby and were greeted by Bob the doorman. He was quite old to still be working, but was one of the the nicest people I've known.

When we got into the elevator I wasn't so sure if she wanted to talk or not so I decided on not talking. It was silent the whole fifteen floor ride up, there wasn't even any elevator music.

I pulled out my keys to open the door, and let Caden in. The apartment wasn't big or small, it was a decent size. There was nothing special about it either, the walls weren't painted and I had nothing hung up on the walls besides inside my room. The apartment was already furnished, which was nice was nice.

"Feel free to make yourself at home Caden." I tell her as I lock the door.

She sat down on the couch. I walk over and sit on the love seat, giving her some space.

"Are you ok? Did you want to talk about it?" I ask and she just shakes her head. I'm guessing that that was her answer to both of my questions.

"We can talk about something else to get your mind off of it?" I say and she's quick to nod her head.

"Ok, what do you want to talk about?" I ask.

"You, tell me about yourself." she says not making eye contact.

"Uh, my full name is Lucas Robert Hemmings. I grew up in Sydney, Australia. Calum, Michael, and I actually went to the same school. Along with Ashton, but the three of us don't really like to talk about him. I was always interested in music. I started when I was 14 and from then on my love grew stronger for it."

"I feel like there's something else that you're not ready to tell me either."

"What do you mean either? Is there more to your story?"

"Yes, but we're talking about you right now, not me." She says.

"Um, I love penguins." I laugh and so does she.

"Ok. Um, so who's Ashton? Why don't you like to talk about him?" She asks curiously.

"He's actually the reason why I took on this career instead of music. Actually the four of us left home and came here to take on our music career as a band. But one day something happened to Ash, and that's when things started to fall apart." I was going to continue the story, but I could tell Caden was close to falling asleep, trying to fight it to listen.

I picked her up and carried her to my room and laid her down on the bed. I picked out some of my clothes to let her change into and grabbed some clothes for myself. Just as I was about the leave the room I heard her say something.

"But what about Ashton?" She asked, still wanting to know.

"I'll tell you some other time, when I'm ready. Then, hopefully by that time you're ready to tell me the rest of your story too." I smile, and she just grumbles.

"Goodnight, Luke." she says before I shut the door.

"Goodnight, Caden."
