Greed

The Casino was packed, women in elegant tight dresses, men with suit and tie. The atmosphere was electric.

Greed leaned back in his chair, his green suit well fitted on his lean but muscular body. His bronze curls were carefully placed to fall over one eye, giving him a mysterious look. Greed loved the colour green, green was money. Green was the colour of the rich. And he loved his Casinos, The Grand Royal, Gold Palace and The Treasure House.

He had just arrived to the The Grand Royal, gambled a few bucks and now lazed beside the balcony of the first floor with a lovely glass full of champagne. He turned his gaze to one of the Casino's many mirrors and touched his lips, which were covered with golden sparkling lip gloss from a brunette he had recently made-out with. I look good in gold, he thought as he grabbed a tissue and began wipinging away the lip gloss. He smiled at his reflection, looked like a Greek God drunk on Nectar. Making sure he had rubbed off the last bit of lip gloss, he stood and was just about to head back down when he felt his phone vibrate.

Max, I'm outside. Nearby alley. Come quick. I mean it.
~Alex

Max rolled his eyes, Debauchery truely had a way with words. Though, it did seem serious if Alex had not added some sort of flirtation. Max headed towards the elevator, nearly tripping on a hammer half way there.

"Who in the name of all things Holy put a hammer here?!", Said Max glaring at the passing staff. One short redheaded man blushed and quickly picked up the hammer.

"S-Sorry Sir. We were simply trying to nail more ornaments on the wall", He stuttered under Max's glare.

" And which idiot authorized that in the middle of working hours?" Asked Max furiously.

"Uh, you did, S-Sir." Said the short man, getting redder by the second.
"Oh. Well carry on!", Said Max quickly stepping into the elevator.

"T-Thank you Sir." Said the short man, looking quite relieved.

Perhaps he thought I would fire him, thought Max as he passed the front entrance. He made his way to the nearest alley (Alex never specified) and began looking about for any sign of Debauchery. He caught a lone figure slumped across a barrel. Walking softly, he approached the barrel with caution. Dark things happened in dark places. Alex had collapsed over it, his breathing heavy. He lifted his head in greeting.

"What the hell, Alex?", said Max eyes wide with shock. Alex gave a sloppy grin.

" Hey, there's my fallen angel", he said, his eyes dazed. His lame attempt of humour made Max worried. Alex never jested unless there was something wrong, and by the look in his eyes, he was definitely trying to distract himself from something dire.

"What happened?" Said Max, looking Alex over. He spotted a large spot of red on Alex's back and his forehead had dents.

" Are you..bleeding? Sins can't bleed, even lesser ones!", Said Max, panicked. Sins couldn't bleed because they were immortal. The only thing that could potentially hurt them was sanctified silver, but that was hard to come by.

"Aw. Gee. Thanks man.", Said Alex as he rolled his eyes, swaying slightly to the right.

"Let me help you", said Max grabbing hold of Alex's shoulder and throwing it over his own. Alex leaned heavily on Max's side, breathing hard.

" I'm fine. Just impaled with sanctified silver, that's all", said Alex, more drowsy than usual. Max jerked his head up, his shock clear.

"Sanctified Silver. How could this be? Who attacked you?"

"Some guy calling himself a member of the Holy Community. Sounds like a load of rubbish but his fighting technique, it was flawless! I could barely get away.", Said Alex trying to keep up with Max's quick pace as Max bolted into his Casino's back entrance. Thankfully, the corridors were vacant of any staff.

Max hurriedly let Alex to one of the private staff rooms, thanking all things sinful that it was empty.

He tore through the drawers looking for a medical kit.

"Too late, man. I'm done.", Said Alex.

"Not yet your not", said Max, as he grabbed the medical kit below a China doll and headed toward a very pale Alex.

"This is going to hurt. Hang in there Alex."
