Chapter One.
The Tomlinson household, always has people in and out of it. Whether it was Louis and his own children or his band mates and their children, even his parents. But their was one person who left and never came back.
----------
Louis sat happily in his kitchen watching over his fifteen year old identical twin girls, Madison and Maisie doing their homework. He was in joying the peacefulness of his house today, as he knew tomorrow it wouldn't be like that. Most of his family and friends would be round as the the house filled with and awkward tension just like every year.
April 18th.
The date Louis hated seeing every year. The day he was at his lowest. The day his house was full of people. The day the TV and radio was never put on. On that day every year one tweet would be sent from Louis' twitter, saying the same thing.
'Another year without her. I hope my angel is safe in heaven. love always xx'
Louis' eighteen year old son Leo was soon home from work and before Louis could think his daughters were begging for him to cook. Soon day turned into night and Louis' children wandered of to bed preparing themselves for tomorrow. Louis didn't want to go to sleep as he knew he had to wake up on April 18th. Louis spent many hours doing things he wouldn't be able to do tomorrow. Filling the dishwasher, putting the washing machine on, folding the clean washing, feeding the dogs and cats, tiding anything he could. It was the early hours of the morning when Louis pulled his body up the stairs, walking past his son's room seeing the light still on. Louis pushed the door open seeing his son, fluttering his fingers slowly over his piano. He sat down on Leo's bed while looking round. The room was plain but you could still tell it was the room that belonged to Leo Tomlinson. With many photo's of Leo growing up and at different events with many stars, including his dad and his band.
"You alright Leo?" Louis said softly, Leo got up from his piano and sat down next to his dad. Louis wrapped his arm round his only son as Leo cuddle up to his dad. He may be eighteen but he loved his dad and he didn't mind being like this when it was just the two of them, he need his dad more than anything.
"Yeah, I think I just felt like playing. I thought she might be listening and want to hear me play"
"She is always listening mate, and I'm sure she loves it. Anyway time for bed you!" Louis patted his sons leg before standing up and placing a gentle kiss on Leo's temple and walking out of his sons room. Louis stopped at the door "Good night, love you"
"Night, love you to dad" Louis smiled and shut the door of of his sons room. He slowly walk down the hall of his large house passing many different room as he made his way to his own. Louis passed many memories on the walls as he did, he loved that he had made his house a home but some days he still felt like it was now incomplete. There was always something going to be missing and it wasn't just in the house it was also in Louis heart. Louis sighed as he walked into his dimply lit room, it never did feel the same. He undressed slowly, making sure to put his clothes away before he slipped into the cold bed. Louis pulled the sheets around his body tighter to make himself warm, but he found he was always cold and could never sleep right.
-------
Morning soon rolled around, as the sun shone on the Tomlinson's house. Louis stood on his balcony as the crisp April air bit at his skin, looking out over the large garden and apple orchard that he owned. Louis' mind would be playing a lot of memories over again today but the one he was playing now, was always one of his favourites. A small smile played on his lips as he looked at the sun lit old fashioned white metal gazebo, that was placed in the centre of the orchard. It had white metal, now slightly rusted table and chairs placed out side of it. Wild roses and vines grew up and twisted around the gazebo, Louis was never much of a gardener but he kept that little area tame and happy. A large hedge and small white metal gate separated the orchard from Louis garden, of to the right side of the garden there is a large oak tree where a rope swing hung from one of the branch's. Of to the left there is a wooden garden shed, which is very modern with a small bar area and sofa's inside. Louis called it Leo's shed as he would have many small party's in it. From the front of the shed all the way up to Louis' house was worn out decking, there is a fire pit at the end closes the shed and a BBQ near the patio door and a large garden table and multiple chairs. Louis loved his garden, it was the one place that held so many of his memories.
"Daddy?" Louis heard the small voice belonging to Maisie call him from the door way of his room, he walked back into his room and toward Maisie at the door. "The family is here"
He nodded following his little girl out into the hallway and down into the living room, everyone was here. Louis' mother, step father and sisters who had now grown into beautiful young women. Harry, Zayn, Liam and Niall were sat with their wife's and children. Louis friends and hers were sat together and her family sat closely with his own. No one gave him sympathetic looks any more but they still knew how hard it was for him.
Louis could still feel the heaviness in his chest just the same as every year, this day never got any easier. He just wished he could feel her touch just one more time the way she gave him goosebumps, with the most gentle touch to his skin. Her warm embrace, they way she would hug with so much love. He wanted to see her smile, the way her eyes would change colour depending on her mood. He just wanted her here, to have her stand in front of him and say 'I Love You' just one more time. He wanted his angel in his arms and not in the sky.
The day seemed to last for years to Louis, the voices that were talking around him had become more of mummers. Louis couldn't understand what was being said or who was talking but he had a feeling it was his mum. 'Talking way to much for her own good' Louis thought. He wanted to walk out the room and go to somewhere far away where no one could find him, but this was a thought he always had but he never did it. He needed to be here for his children. Louis' mind was working to much today, he was thinking about everything from what he was going to cook for tea and memories he had over the year. It was become to much for Louis to handle but then again this is what happened every year, but the thing that played on Louis' mind the most was 'is this becoming harded over the years?'
Leo, Maisie and Madison had all been watching their father for most of the day, every year they always tried to say something to make this day better but they never could find the right thing to say.Leo being the oldest knew the most but he didn't know everything and he wished he did, Madison and Maisie wanted to know the memories. They wanted to know about love and everything else.Madison was always the shy one, but today she felt a wave of confidants come over her. She mental thanked her mother as she knew she had sent it.
"Dad, Tell us about mum? and how you fell in love"
The room went silent, and Madison knew all eyes were on her as she stood in front of her father. Everyone wanted to ask it but they couldn't, they never wanted Louis to go back on his life. Madison could feel her blood pumping fast round her body, her head was thumping as if she could feel her pulse in her head. She was waiting for her father to say no and walk out the room not to been seen for days. Louis couldn't breath, the air had been stolen from his lungs and know one was giving it back to him. When he finally got air into his lungs, the breaths were shaky and unstable. He felt like he should cry but he couldn't, he couldn't take his eyes away from his little girl. 'She has her eyes' he thought, those magical eyes that changed colour from brown to green and green to blue. 'Her strange eyes that i still to this day cant understand' Louis' mind told him. He dropped his eyes to the floor before looking round the room, everyone was watching him. 'Why did she have to die? Why cant she be here? I need her' Louis' mind screamed, but he needed that question. They needed to know about their mothers life and the love Louis had for her.
