It was very cold.
The blanket that you'd grabbed from the corner of the room was nuzzled against your shoulders but didn't really provide much warmth due to the few wet spots, you assumed where from a leak potentially in the room.
You could hear a little bit of shuffling from above you, little to no light coming through the door above the stairs, it wasn't enough for you to see but just enough to show the stairs.
This was a safe space. He was a safe person.

A few days ago he'd dropped by, he was handsome, standing tall, soft but dangerous eyes and a light smirk on his face as he entered the room.

He didn't keep his eyes off of you, browsing the shop, hands in his jacket pockets. He didn't buy anything but he still chose to look, everyday, eyes on you. Almost as though you were the product he wanted to purchase.

You heard a light humming, accompanied with footsteps that moved down the hallway. Was it him?

Quietly you shifted further into the room, hiding behind a big box. The footsteps coming closer and the door eventually opening.

Your mind raced, now you felt like this wasn't such a good idea.

You'd followed him home, you'd stalked him and you didn't even know his name. The only reason you had for being here was because you felt safe with him but how can you feel safe if you didn't even know who he is?

He left the door open, the light flooding through the room as he walked down the stairs, heading towards the lights.

You squinted your eyes at the sudden bright light.
The basement was plainly decorated, a few shelves holding sports equipment and a few tools on the walls, your eyes looked down at the blanket you been using.

It was purple, spotted ... red? The red spots were wet?

Your head flicked up as he started to mumble to himself as he dragged a heavy weight along the floor. You bit your lip at the memory of having taken the blanket from that heavy weight. What if he found you?

"The fuck did I put it?" He muttered, looking around the room.

Softly you whimpered, pulling yourself closer to the box, terrified and confused, there was a crack in the box.

A crack that showed that heavy weight he'd been pulling.

A body. A dead, lifeless body.

"So that's where it went" a voice wondered behind you.
