Kyuseishu did his best to repel the cloaked guy after Katsumi went unconscious, but he was too exhausted to keep up with the endless ninja tricks the latter got up his sleeves. He performed a couple of handseals and whispered:
"The Fire, The Gold, The Tiger -
[ Fire Style; Great Fireball jutsu!! ] "A burst of flames dashed towards the cloaked guy covering the sight before him. It was only a fraction of second and Kyuseishu could see the cloaked guy standing ontop of his giant scorpion unscathed, however, the hood of his cloak was torn by the flames revealing a short reddish hair just like his father Sasori of the red sand.
Kyuseishu stared at the guy with concern trying to remember where he first saw this face. He put his hands on his hips and shouted at him:
"You.. who the hell are you and why are you targeting us !?"
The cloaked guy looked at Kyuseishu blankly before suddenly taking off his cloak saying:
" Heh, you really got stronger but your attack barely scratched my gown.."
Kyuseishu wasn't satisfied with the answer but at least he bought some time to think of ways to drag Katsumi and get out of this place before the dawn falls. The Sand Kunoichi had her own plans, however. She dashed towards their foe and punched him on the back of his neck sending him flying in the air few meters away. She was furious.. After being asked to take over the roster of course she couldn't deny. Kyuseishu himself didn't know what is it about. Still, if it falls in the wrong hand her whole village would be in danger and she had to stop that from happening even if she had to lose her life battling that Ninja hunter.
After spending four minutes trying to catch her breath, she sighed then suddenly jumbled as the Giant scorpion swung its poisonous tail at her direction. She dearly hoped that no other pesky enemies appear before her just like that. It's true that she's talented but fighting more than one person at the same time would be so exhausting. Grabbing her throwing fan, she glared at the monstrous creature before her. How the hell could this thing reach out its tail this far... Oh, he was owned by another Sand shinobi after all and she must not let him get away.《《《《
"--- And then he asked where all my power came from. I did not tell him about my secret techniques, don't worry." Katsumi went on about her date with a fellow Sand Chunnin after Kyuseishu had asked about 'him'. It was nothing special or at least meaningful to Katsumi. She had simply been flattered after being asked to go out to lunch so she ended up accepting the offer.
She explained the night as they walked down by the park where Katsumi used to play as a kid. The wind was starting to pick up worse than before as the storm was approaching the center of the village. It made her wish that they had decided to have this conversation somewhere inside instead of while out. It was most likely that they would be soaked up by the rain by the time they went their separate ways to go home.
Katsumi rattled on with few more details before noticing that Kyuseishu was replying without actually paying attention.
She stopped and watched him for a moment:
"You have been pouting ever since I went on that date.. what's up?"
Kyuseishu may not have been physically pouting but his attitude sure was. He wasn't usually the jealous, nor the possessive type but he had gotten quite used to with how things were with Katsumi. For some reason he couldn't express his feelings like a normal person. He was bottled up inside but yet, Katsumi always knew when something wasn't sitting right with him.
Kyuseishu couldn't truly hide what he felt because the Sand Kunoichi always figured it out.
"I just don't see why you went. Going out on random dates like that would just upset our teamwork balance."It was true, the pair almost always had their lunch together when they were duty-free. Kyuseishu couldn't really handle the thought that she's with someone else but he had to stay quiet as long as it made her happy.
Katsumi could not help but smirk and inwardly chuckle. Kyuseishu was one to be blunt but still be able to protect himself. He was jealous and there was a big feeling of pride in that. Katsumi sped up and stepped in front of him, grabbing his hand as her hair flew wildly around her face.
"I'm not interested in him, Kyuseishu."
She pressed softly as she held his hand in hers. It was warm with his long pale fingers.
"He's not that bad but there's nothing to do with emotions so don't make that face at me."
The park was starting to clear out of children as the dust started to pick up, the leaves turning to accept the water coming soon..
