Best friends forever(summer holiday)

Chapter 1

Kenzie woke up feeling happy it was the beginning of summer and as usual she had done well and didn't need to go to summer school.
Downstairs in the kitchen her mum was making pancakes for breakfast, Dad was watching the morning news while Oscar her older brother was at the balcony trying out his skating moves. Kenzie got downstairs to the small of her mom's pancakes,"hey mum we are having your lovely pancakes for breakfast today right" Kenzie asked, "yes kenz" her mum replied also noticing that her daughter looked happier than before,"oh yeah mum summer is starting today and I am so happy I can't wait to see kyra so we can plan all we can do this summer am sure she will have lots of ideas in mind" Kenzie was saying before she heard someone groan.
Oscar coming into the kitchen groaned has he heard the name kyra, Kyra was kenzie's best friend who always found joy in torturing him, "I just hope part of your fun thing to do is getting out of the house" Oscar said obviously trying to get Kenzie annoyed.
Kenzie flashed her brother an angry face she hated it when he interrupted in her business,she thought he was a thorn in the flesh,"well why don't you look for an activity that will keep you out of the house oscie" Kenzie said,oscie was a nickname she had given him to annoy him.
She had obviously succeeded because the next thing Oscar said was"stop calling me oscie and I would not leave the house for you two little brit brat" they continued fighting till they heard a voice at the door.
"Hey steady on kids why the fight again" came a voice from outside the kitchen, they quickly turned around and saw their dad also noticing their mum had gone out of the kitchen when they were arguing, their dad was standing there grinning from ear to ear which was funny because he tried to pull off an angry face which was not possible for him he loved his children deeply especially his daughter and couldn't bear shouting on them he asked them why they were arguing with Oscar quickly replying that Kenzie called him oscie he thought the argument was silly so he just told him that oscie was a good nickname for a handsome boy like him but he stopped when he heard Kenzie scoff.
She wouldn't argue that her brother was handsome but he wasn't as handsome has Trevor winnspring the hottest boy in set two she had been crushing on him since she moved to Florida and unfortunately he was her neighbour, Kenzie..... Kenzie,boomed her father's worrying voice"what are you thinking about and why did you scoff" asked her dad.
Kenzie looked confused obviously didn't remember she scoffed"when, how, why did I scoff"she asked. Her dad looked confused because of the way she was acting" sweetie I think you should go to bed for a little while it looks you are still feeling sleepy" her dad said.
Kenzie started saying reasons why she didn't need to go to bed since she was awake but she stopped when she heard the doorbell "saved by the bell" she said in her mind while running to open the door. When she got to the door she almost slumped at what she saw she had thought it was kyra who was at the door but it wasn't only timely intervention from the fellows at the door helped her from falling down after after one of the people at the door caught her.
