Devotion

chapter 1

It was a rainy, chilly spring morning. Typical day, you get up,get dressed and brush your teeth. Hoping you will have a relaxing day case free, your phone rings. "Guess I spoke to soon" you said to your self. You look at your screen and it's Hotch.. great. You picked up the phone, "Y/n we need you to come in" Hotch said in his usual stern voice. You replied "on my way". When you stepped outside it was humid and the air felt sticky, you smelled the rain in the air and you walked to your car from your apartment. You didn't live to far,and  you got there in about 15 min. As you walked in Morgan greeted you "looks like someone's having a good day" he joked.  I smirked at him and replied "I was hoping and praying we didn't have a case today,guessed I jinxed it" I laughed. I walked to my desk, Reid's desk just in front of mine. "Hey Y/n" "Hey Spence" you slowly replied. Just as I finished my sentence Hotch called us in to discuss the case. "Our unsub is pulling out the victims teeth and making putting them down the victims throat" I squirmed in my seat as the thought of that was grossing me out. "Wheels up in 30" Hotch replied with his classic line. As we were waiting to get on the jet me and Spencer were talking. Mostly simple stuff like "how is your day going so far" ect. I loved our conversations even if they were simple and didn't mean anything they still gave me something to look forward to.  As we got on the jet, I sat down across from reid. Prentiss, sat just beside me as the seat was open and we were good friends. "Y/n how are you I am STARVING, when we land I need to get something to eat" "so am I, but check the mini fridge there might be something in there"  "will do"she replied." She got up and checked the mini fridge,there was a moment of silence. I looked up almost forgetting spencer was sitting right in front of me, I almost jumped in a way because he scared me a little bit. His big hazel eyes gazing at me. I'm not going to lie I've always had a thing for spencer but never really did anything about due to the fact I was scared he was gonna laugh in my face. Buy naturally I did what everyone would do and stared back in his eyes. He gave me a slight grin and I got butterflies in my stomach. "Found something" Prentiss said as she sat back down next to me
"Woah, am I interrupting something here" she said laughing. My heart started to race thinking she might know about I feel for Spencer. "No me and Y/n are just dissucing the case" spencer assured her. I grinned at him knowing he said it to not embarrass me and in return he winked at me. I knew this was going to be an interesting flight.
