Four months until (Y/N)'s 3rd birthday and I am praying to get her out of nappies before then. I was trying again today and I'm not giving in so easily this time. Pretty much all day so far I've been asking if she needs to go so I can take her to the potty. By then it's too late. Right, time for another plan. I managed to take her blanket which I know she hates and told her if she could use the potty, she could get her blanket back. That actually worked.

She went on it so I gave her blanket back and told her if she kept this up, she won't have to wear nappies anymore. That seemed to make her happy. This honestly took way too long to do. By the time her birthday came around, she was getting better at just going on her own so, for her birthday, I got her pants. My little girl is growing up so fast. I'll still keep the nappies for bedtimes for a while until she's a little older but, during the day, she won't have them on.

For a birthday treat, I took her into the chocolate room for the first time. We mostly just played and (Y/N) occasionally ate some of the candy but I had to stop her when I thought she had too much. We started playing tag later that day when she tripped and fell on the stone path. I kneeled next to her just as she started crying. Quickly sitting down, I put her on my lap trying to calm her down. She had scraped her hands. I tried to tell her it was going to be all better after I kissed her injuries but she was still pretty upset. I took her to the kitchen and put a plaster on her wound hoping to make her feel better.

"You alright now?" I asked getting a nod, "Hey, turn that frown upside down."

She hugged her blanket more so I had an idea. I started tickling her and she was trying not to smile but I continued until she laughed. She begged me to stop but I didn't. I did eventually when she told me she might pee herself. Don't want that happening.

(Time skip)

I had an Oompa Loompa take care of (Y/N) while I worked. Maybe I've been spending a little too much time with her but every moment was worth it.

Narrator's POV:

(Y/N) and the Oompa Loompa were actually getting on really well. The Oompa Loompa introduced her to a few games they would play before Willy took them to the factory which (Y/N) enjoyed. She also showed the Oompa Loompa a few games she'd play with her dad and did dress up. They also tried baking a cake for Willy as a surprise and it turned out really well. It was a chocolate cake with mini chocolate Easter eggs on top and inside so when you cut it open, they would spill out the middle. Meanwhile, Willy was thinking about how he could find the perfect child to take over his factory.

He can't rely on a grownup because they'd want to run it their way, not his. He continued on with papers and bills for the factory when an idea hit him. How about a competition? He could let out the word about the competition and only a few could come on a tour of the factory and whoever was the least rotten would win the factory. But he'd have to think of a different prize to throw people off about the real prize. And what would he use for to randomly choose children to come and visit? He'd have to think about that later.

Willy's POV:

After deciding it was time to finish work for the day, I left my office and went to find (Y/N) in her playroom to see her dressed as a princess and the Oompa Loompa was dressed as a jester. I smiled at the sight before me. I think my little candy girl just made her first best friend.

That's when (Y/N) noticed me at the doorway, "Daddy!" And came running over to me.

"Hello my little candy girl," I said picking her up, "did you have fun?"

"Yeah! We made something for you!" She told me.

"Did you really?"

She nodded so I put her down and she dragged me to the kitchen where a chocolate cake was sitting on the counter.

"You made this for me?" She nodded with the most adorable smile, "well, how about we try it after dinner?"

"Okay!"

Well, after dinner we had a try after my little surprise with the mini chocolate eggs inside and it was actually really good. Granted, she did have help but that didn't matter. Later that night, before her bedtime, she was drawing something. I'm not sure what but she was drawing when I sat next to her. Maybe she could somehow help with my plan to find an heir.

"(Y/N)?"

"Yeah?" She asked still drawing.

"If you wanted to win something, what would you want to win?"

"Chocolate!"

"Pardon?"

"Chocolate! Lots and lots of chocolate!"

I mean... that could work. I could promise a lifetime supply of chocolate. That would be a kids dream as (Y/N) just proved. After putting (Y/N) to bed, I thought more about my plan. How am I supposed to choose these kids for the competition? Maybe they should find something in maybe a Wonka bar or something that says, 'hey, you've been invited to my factory'. I settled on five kids to try to find a ticket in a Wonka bar so they can visit the factory. Now to design them and send them off to random parts of the world. That'll come in the morning though. It's way too late to be thinking about this.
