Annabeth woke up entangled in Percy's limbs.

He must have gone to change into pajamas after he brought me to my cabin. She thought.
Closing her eyes again, Annabeth started to drift back to sleep when she felt someone one lightly shaking her.

"Annabeth. Annabeth c'mon wake up."
Percy's gentle voice prodded her.

With a groan she sat up rubbing her eyes.

"Okay okay I'm up." She replied with a yawn.

Chuckling slightly, Percy leaned down and their lips met in a soft kiss. Annabeth reciprocated but she was surprised. Usually when she and Percy would kiss there were sparks no matter the intensity of the moment, but this kiss was rather mundane.

Kissing Piper would probably feel so much better.

The thought floated to the top of her consciousness.

Annabeth suddenly broke the kiss as she realized the true meaning of the intruding sentiment.

Whoa what? Where the hell did that come from? I was literally kissing Percy, my current boyfriend, so why was I thinking about kissing I have no interest in? What is going on he-

"Annabeth? Earth to Annabeth what's the matter? You kinda stopped suddenly did I do something wrong?" Percy asked.

"No, no of course not. Sorry Seaweed Brain I just need to adjust being here again you know?"

"Of course my bad. How about we go get some breakfast? I'll go get ready, meet you at the pavilion?"

"Sounds great, I'll meet you there."

Percy cracked a smile and left her cabin.

Annabeth sat up and extended her muscled arms over head in a short, sweet stretch. Hopping out of bed, she stopped to look at herself in the mirror.

"Annabeth Chase you look gross." She said out loud. Sighing, she turned towards the bathroom to take a shower. After turning on the water and laying the bathmat down, Annabeth striped and took a look at herself in the mirror. She dragged her fingers lightly over her abdominals, hardened by the intense training at camp and multiple battles she's fought. She continued in the same area, fingertips gliding over the multiple scars she found from many years of sword and life fights. Realizing that the water was still running she quickly stepped into the steaming water. After letting the flow relax the muscles in her back and arms, she lathered her golden hair with shampoo. Rinsing it out and cleaning herself off with soap, she turned off the water, stepped out, and wrapped herself with a white towel.

She heard a knock at the door. Thinking that Percy had left something at her cabin, Annabeth opened the door without a second thought.

"Hey Annabe-oh shoot did you just get out of the shower? Hot." Piper said with her signature grin.

Annabeth knew that her friend was teasing but something about the way Piper was leaning against the doorframe, arms crossed over her chest, eyeing her in nothing but a towel made Annabeth blush, creeping from her neck to her cheeks.

"H-hey Pipes what's up?" Annabeth said.

Seriously a stutter? Get a hold of yourself Chase she's your best friend! She's not checking you out and you definitely don't wanna kiss he-

"Annabeth!! Really? Again?" Piper's hands on her bare shoulders brought her back to reality. "You have got to stop checking out on me!"

Piper's hands were surprisingly cold on Annabeth's heated skin, which made shivers go done her spine. This, in turn, only brought back the blush that had yet to fade from her cheeks. Annabeth felt her thumbs move slightly across her collar bone and she couldn't help but bite her lip as the light touch created sparks across the sensitive part of her body.

"Sorry sorry my bad just uh, still getting used to things." Said Annabeth after a moment of secretly reveling in her friends' touch. All too soon Piper pulled her hands away and hooked her thumbs in the front pocket of her shorts.

"It's alright. Here sorry you should get changed." Piper replied as she turned around to give her friend some privacy. Annabeth started to unwrap her towel and get dressed.

"So what's up Pipes?" Annabeth asked as she pulled on a pair of black sports shorts and a matching sports bra. Unbeknownst to her, Piper was having a blast watching her get dressed, eyeing her toned legs and working her way up Annabeth's body, taking note of the graceful and elegant curvature of her neck.

A great place to leave some hickies.
She thought to herself.

"I actually came here to talk to you about something. It's about me and Jason."

At this, Annabeth turned around, pulling a light blue tank top over her head.

"What happened, are you guys okay?"

"No actually we broke up a couple of weeks ago."

"What?! Why?"

"Well he cheated on me."

"What? With who?"

"Drew. My cabin mate."
