Alex-Andre Moore was the only child for his parents; Grace and Jonathon Moore. Both were considered to be influential members of the Stone Mountain County in Atlanta Georgia; more so the religious and legal sector. Jonathon, a lawyer by profession, was the Host Pastor and Bishop of the Calvary Holiness Church, while Grace was a Family Therapist and Life Coach, was the first lady. Alex-Andre was being groomed from a tender age to take over the leadership of the ministry when his father retired. With such influential parents, Alex-Andre was automatically expected to live an exemplary lifestyle and was often warned that he should never engage in activities that could tarnish the "Moore" name.

Being a preacher's kid came with many expectations; too many for Alex-Andre to live up to. He hated to be referred to as a PK; this was the main source of many arguments and fights in high school. A Preacher's kid is a term used to refer to a child of a preacher, pastor, deacon, vicar, lay leader, priest, minister, or another similar church leader.  It was often said that preachers' children were the worst since they grow up having tight restrictions. However, Alex-Andre strongly believed he was being unjustly criticized because of who his parents were.

Alex-Andre was an introvert but did not encounter any issues making friends; being a very sociable individual there was no doubt that his friends were from a wide cross-section of the religious and secular society. No wonder with the taxing expectations of a preacher's kid he oftentimes searched for solace in many things outside of the church. These included drinking, gambling, womanizing, even fornicating. Knowing that he needed to make some serious decisions regarding his current lifestyle and his future – Alex-Andre continues to be faced with inner turmoil and temptation. He just wanted to be who he truly was rather than what his parents and the church expected him of him. He felt trapped in his own skin and needed an avenue to escape it all. What will he decide since that the future of church rests squarely on his shoulders?
