ATLAS: Pandora's Box

Pandora

Atlas had fallen asleep in Sasha's room. They awoke to the sound of a knock at the door. Sasha got up and opened it. It was Aiden. "Good morning, is Atlas here by any chance?" Aiden asked. Atlas got up and walked to the door. "Hey.." he said half asleep. "Looks like you two must have been in a deep sleep, my apologies, the leader here named Aric would like to meet you Atlas," Aiden said. "Ok then, let's go," Atlas said walking out following Aiden.

They walked to Aric's house which was a small white house on a hill. They walked inside and saw Aric sitting at a table reading a book. "Aric, this is Atlas, Atlas this is Aric," Aiden introduced them. They shook hands and sat down. Something seemed really familiar about Aric, but Atlas could not remember where he had seen him before. "Aiden has told a lot about you, especially that you are related to The One, and that you have a dodecagram," Aric said. "It is true, I do have a dodecagram," Atlas held up his hand to show it. "How did you get it?" Aric asked. "I was kidnaped by my father Jason who is the leader of The M.O.B, I was taken to a woman named Styx and she tortured me, they wanted me to get the dodecagram, which you can only get if you go through days of physical suffering, they thought they could control me, but I overpowered them and escaped," Atlas said. "And what happened to your arm?" Aric asked. "Styx cut it off with a skill saw, so it was replaced with a robotic one," Atlas replied. "Hm, I see, well it is a pleasure to meet you, Atlas, I hope we can talk again soon, I must be going I have to welcome the newcomers to our town, once a week we get a batch of new people to come to live here," Aric said. 

They all walked down to the city and saw a line of people who were entering the city being led by a woman with pink hair, her name was Sukoi. She walked up to the Aric. "Sir these people are all from a poor village, they had all been taken to a concentration camp run by Alpha Advancements called The Null Facility," she said. Each of them had shaved heads and were very weak and worn out. "Get them some places to stay and get them some food and new clothes as well," Aric said. As they walked past he noticed a girl, she was carrying a small black box. "And try and get their names written down as soon as possible," Aric said. Aiden and Atlas walked back to the blue building.

"Why do you have to announce to absolutely everyone that I have this power?" Atlas asked. "Let me guess, you don't trust everyone?" Aiden asked. "No, I don't, I especially don't trust that guy," Atlas said. "Aric can be trusted I can assure you that," Aiden said. "Maybe but for now I do not trust him," Atlas said walking down to his room. 

Later that night Sukoi entered Aric's office. "Here is the list of the newcomers today," she said. "Thank you," Aric replied he took the paper and looked at it as Sukoi walked out. He looked down through the names and saw the name Pandora.

Atlas was sleeping in his room but awoke to the sound of something moving. He sat up and looked but saw nothing, He laid back down but then screamed when he saw the girl from earlier with the box staring at him. He jumped out of the bed and stumbled around. "Who are you? what are you doing here?" Atlas asked. "I am sorry to disturb you, my name is Pandora, and  I just need your help," she said. "Help with what?" Atlas asked. "I need to get out of here," Pandora said. "But didn't you just arrive here?"Atlas asked. "Yes, but that was before I knew he was here, that man Aric, he is evil," Pandora said. "So someone else finally thinks the same, but how do I know for sure, I mean she could be insane," Atlas thought. "You may think I am crazy, but it is true, go see for yourself now," Pandora said. "You can read my mind?" Atlas asked. Pandora held up her hand, on it was a glowing white hexagram, "And many other things," Pandora said. "How did you get this?" Atlas asked. "I got this from stupidity, I read an old book, and in it was a spell, I did not believe in magic so I thought nothing of it, but should have after I read it my room turned black and I was stuck by white flashes, then once the darkness went away I saw this on my hand," Pandora said. "And you know of the others, like the decagram, or Octagram?" Atlas asked. "Yes, I do, never seen it but read about it for sure, except mine is different, the decagram and octagram deal with electricity, I have fire," she said as a white glowing flame appeared on her finger. "You still have doubts about Aric, don't you? well just follow me, I have proof," Pandora said, she led Atlas out. 

They went to Aric's office building snuck to the outside of his office. The door was cracked, enough for them to speak in. They saw him standing there speaking to someone on a video. "Sir, I have found the girl Pandora, she is here in the city," Aric said. "Well done, X, bring here to The Event Horizon as soon as possible," a voice on the video said, it was Jason!. Atlas saw a black gas mask sitting on the desk, this meant it was true, Aric was X all along. Pandora then sneezed by accident. Aric heard and ran to the door swinging it open. "So, you figured it out huh?" Aric said he got out his double-bladed sword and tried to swing but Atlas ducked and went down then going back up and punching him in the stomach with his fist electrified green. Atlas and Pandora ran out of the building and ran to the blue building. 

Atlas ran down the hall to Sasha's room and knocked. Sasha, half-asleep, answered the door. "Atlas?" she said rubbing her eyes. "Sasha quick we must leave!" he exclaimed. "Why what's wrong?" Sasha asked. Atlas went on to explain everything about Pandora and Aric being X. "I'll be ready in a minute, you should go find Moe," Sasha said. Wasp came out of Atlas' room. "Wasp I want you and Pandora here to head out to The Doomship and get it started up," Atlas said. Wasp and Pandora left the blue building and left the city headed to the direction of the ships. Atlas knocked on Moe's door, he answered and Atlas explained the whole story. "Then we better get the hell out of this place, I thought for once we found a save place to live," Moe said. They met Sasha down the hall and walked out of the building.

They were headed to the exit but were stopped by Aiden. "What are you guys doing?" Aiden asked. "We are leaving, Aiden, Aric is a part of Jason," Atlas said. "What? no way he is, he is a good person!" Aiden exclaimed. "He is right Aiden, I am a member of The M.O.B," Aric said he walked up behind them with his double-bladed sword and was followed by Sukoi and two other's holding rifles. Aric threw down the black gas mask. "And to many, I am know as X, the mystery man, Jason was the only one who knew my true identity," Aric said he held up a pistol. "Aric, don't do this to us," Aiden said. "Well I cannot let you go, you are all traitors to The M.O.B and Jason wants you all dead, so why not," Aric shot Aiden in the arm. "No!!" Atlas shouted he threw out his hand which caused a massive force of energy to push Aric and the others back. "Run go!" Atlas yelled. He and Moe got Aiden up and put his arms over them so they could carry them. They got a good head start before Aric and the others could get up. "Agh! after them!" he shouted. They walked a white until they made it back to the ships. Moe got Aiden into The Bronze Angel and Atlas and Sasha got into The Doom Ship where Wasp and Pandora were. They started up the ships and began to lift up. Aric arrived too late. They were already starting to fly away. Aric held up his hand shooting out brown colored electricity and tried to bring down their ships but they fired their laser cannons back which cause them to hide from their shots. They sped off into the sky. "Jason is not going to be happy about this," Sukoi said. "Yeah...right," Aric said.
