Last year was emotional to say the least. My first break up, and an even better relationship ending in death. It's like all I attract is bad things, I dated Draco and he cheated on me. I dated Cedric and he died, maybe it's just best I stray away from dating this year.
"Can you stop looking out the window and listen to me please" Hermione giggles. "Sorry" I said looking down. "I know you're nervous to see Harry, we all are, but I'm sure he'll be fine and understand the situation" Hermione smiles at me. I may not have spent as much time with them last year, but I know he's going to blow his top when he hears about us avoiding him.
The nerves crawl up my back as I hear a muffled voice followed by footsteps heading towards the door. My hands begin to tremble as I hear the door creak.
"Oh, Harry. Are you all right?" Hermione says hugging him tightly. "We overheard them talking about the Dementor attack. You must tell us everything." She adds.
"Let the man breathe, Hermione." Ron says peeling her off of Harry. "And this hearing at the Ministry. It's just outrageous. I've looked it up. They simply can't expel you. It's completely unfair." Hermione says. "There's a lot of that going round at the moment." Harry says. "So, what is this place?" Harry asks. "It's headquarters. Of the Order of the Phoenix. It's a secret society. Dumbledore formed it back when they fought You-Know-Who." I said keeping my head down.
"Couldn't have put any of this in a letter, I suppose? I've gone all summer without a scrap of news." Harry exclaims. "We wanted to write, mate. Really, we did. Only..." Ron begins. "Only what?" Harry asked. "Only Dumbledore made us swear not to tell you anything." Hermione says. "Dumbledore said that? But why would he keep me in the dark? Maybe I could help. I'm the one who saw Voldemort return... the one who fought him, who saw Cedric Diggory get killed." Harry says.
My face grows sad at the mention of Cedric, they must've noticed my demeanor as the topic was dropped. "Harry. Thought we heard your dulcet tones." The Weasley twins say popping out from behind the boy. "Don't bottle it up, though, mate. Let it out." Fred says sitting on the bed. "If you're all done shouting..." George says. "Do you wanna hear something a little more interesting?"Fred adds. The twins lead us into the hall with a hearing device. They lower it down so we are able to hear the conversation downstairs.
"If anyone has a right to know, it's Harry."
" If it wasn't for Harry... we wouldn't even know Voldemort was back."
"He's not a child, Molly."
"But he's not an adult either."
"He's not James, Sirius."
" Well, he's not your son."
"He's as good as. Who else has he got?"
"Hey, Ginny." Harry says as the girl walks towards us.
" He's got me."
"How touchingly paternal, Black. Perhaps Potter will grow up to be a felon, just like his godfather."
" Now, you stay out of this, Snivellus."
" Snape's part of the Order?" Harry asks as we nod our heads. "Git." Ron says.
" ...about your supposed reformation."
" I know better."
" So why don't you tell him?"
"Get off it. Quick." Harry says silently to Crookshanks as the cat tugs on the ear. "Get it up." I said tapping he twins. "Crookshanks. Stop it."Hermione begs. "Get off, you bloody cat." Harry exclaims. "Crookshanks. Leave it alone." Hermione says to the cat who continues to play with the ear. "Hermione, I hate your cat" Ron says coldy. "Bad Crookshanks." Hermione whisper yells to the cat running away.
