Keya drove to Aarav's favorite place of being alone, the waterfall on the outskirts of the city and as expected, she indeed found him there. He was sitting there, his feet half- immersed in water, his head towards the sky, his eyes closed and he was humming an soft tune. She went and quietly sat next to him. Sensing a person's presence around him he opened his eyes and look at her, he wasn't surprised to see her."Hi Aarav.", she simply greeted waving a hand.
"Hi Keya, how are you?", he asked.
"I am good now, thank you for pushing me to take the wellness treatment.", she said with a small smile.
"I am glad.", he said looking at the ripples in the pond.
"Aarav I don't know where to start, I don't even know if saying a Sorry will help to start or not. I really wasn't stable and that was the reason, I did I what I did. What have you got to say Aarav?", she asked keeping her hand on his.
He looked down at her hand, let out a heavy sigh and said," I don't know what to say. I was told not to say anything, not to do anything and not to meet, until I was told so, that is why I don't have an opinion. You tell me was I allowed to have one when you decided everything in the relation we shared?", He asked directly piercing his gaze into her eyes.
"God! Aarav! I am sorry I made you feel that way. I am so so sorry.", she said squeezing his hand.
"Keya, you directly compared me with Aakash and thought to keep me away because you couldn't love two people at once! I never asked you to love me back because I loved you or I never asked you to love me because I helped in facilitating the process of your mental well being. I loved you irrespective of anything, we had something apart from attraction or love. We had friendship Keya, we were best friends. As friends you can take stands for each other, but not entirely decide what's right or wrong.", he said looking at his feet immersed in water.
"What do you want Aarav? Tell me? I am ready to do whatever you want.", she replied looking down.
He turned towards her, lifted her chin up and said, "I want to start again, as friends. I don't want us to rush this time it may take 2 days, 6 months or 5 years but lets not rush and ruin everything. Thoda sambhal jaate hai yaha se . Please. ", he said getting up to leave.
"Okay. I don't mind starting again.", she said getting up.
"There is a catch here, Keya. I cannot promise that starting over again, means love, we could just be friends for life. I don't know.", he said looking down.
"Why do you look so Sorry? Whatever happens, I will at least aspire to get back my best friend and make it up to him.", Keya said extending her hand for a handshake, which was well received by Aarav.

It was literally like getting to know a new person for both of them. Hanging out with each other's friends and family, was a regular affair and their decision to start over was well received by all the others. Time does heal things was what everyone chose to believe.
Maahi went for her further studies to Melbourne and she did come back on special occasions and festivals. Vee, Keya's mother and Aarav's mother got along very well and all of them started residing at Vee's place, making Pushpa 's (Keya's mom) place as a full PG residence for students. Keya and Zahra, found a flat together in the same vicinity as Aarav and Keya and rented it together.
"HAPPY NEW YEAR!!"., the four from the gang clanked their beer cans whilst cheering. The gang had gathered for the new year's eve at Aarav's place.
"Guys, I guess we will leave, got plans at my place.", Sam said winking pointing towards him and Zahra.
"God! Get MARRIED ALREADY!" Keya exclaimed rolling her eyes and Aarav chuckled. Zahra rolled her eyes.
