Keefe was happy. He was married to the girl of his dreams. He had 10 amazing kids, and the word Neverseen had not been heard for 87 years. He still had nightmares. At night he would be transported back to the worst moments of his childhood. The most common one was that dreadful night at 15 years old when his mother had triggered his second ability. He didn't like to use it much. It's not like he wasn't ashamed of it, but every time he used it, he got flashbacks that took him right back to the first time he had used it... But he and Sophie helped each other with their nightmares. And the days were amazing. So much love that he couldn't help but smile.

Linh was downstairs with Sophie. She came over almost as much as Biana. They were the last ones left. Them and Fitz. So many of their friends had given their lives to bring down the Neverseen, that Keefe could barely keep himself functioning when he thought about it. Linh had come over lots more lately. Ever since William, or Will manifested as a shade. He was their third oldest child at 16 years old. He had her human fathers name to remember all that Sophie left behind when she was 12. Being around him was helping Linh. Her smile was more genuine. It still never reached her eyes, but Keefe wasn't sure it ever would. What she had lost in the final battle, well Sophie used to have to mend her mind her mind every few months.

At first, she stopped coming around. She couldn't deal with the resemblance to her brother, but once she did come over, he helped her without knowing. They didn't talk about the war to their kids much, but they told them when they turned 15. They didn't like to talk about all that they had lost, but knew their kids deserved to know. To ask questions. They got so many of them at school from the other kids. They swore they didn't mind, but he could tell that Will did. He took after his mom in that he wanted to blend in, but it was hard. He even had her eyes. He was their only child who did.

Linh was downstairs with Will as Keefe came down. "Ready to go buddy?" Will was going to get a haircut. He had black hair, but no one knew where that came from. Probably Sophies genetics. All of their Kids looked different from each other except for their smiles. They all looked the same when they smiled. "Can I gooooo?" Lilya asked. "Sure honey," Keefe responded. "Quickly grab your coat and we will go." Lilya had Keefe's eyes, and her mother's shade of long blond hair. This meant she resembled Marella all too well. Even the gossip loving sassy attitude. That is why Fitz didn't come over anymore. He and Marella became quite close before Foxfire Battle, as it was called. Marella saved his life, but she was never seen again.

"Dad!!! I'm ready!!! We can go now!" Lilya called out, making Keefe realise he had gotten lost in his thoughts again. His cheeks reddened so Sophie gave him a comforting smile. She knew what was happening. It happened to all of them every now and then. "What were you thinking about?" Lilya wondered. "Nothing you need to concern yourself about darling." Keefe answered. "Come on let's go." As they left Keefe noticed Sophie, who was looking to the corner of the room. He followed her gaze and found Alvin fiddling with some gadget. He was so much like Dex that Sophie, well, she wasn't sure what that made her feel. Losing Dex... well, Without Keefe she would have gone numb to her feelings in her grief.

When they got to the hairdressers, Bex was waiting for them. "Hey Girlie!" She picked Lilya up and spun her around. She giggled as he set her back down. "How's it going Will-o?"

"Not bad. You?" As Will and Bex caught up, Keefe sat in one of the corner chairs. He needed to clear his mind. Too many thoughts from back then were coming up. He didn't ever want to forget his friends, but he couldn't deal with those feelings now. He was out with Will and Lilya. This was a fun moment. He had gone through this process of clearing his mind before with Sophie. He just had to imagine nothing until the forefront of his mind cleared. Then he had to bring back the thoughts relevant to this situation. Sophie was a lot better at it then he was. She would do it in seconds, but sometimes Keefe would need a few minutes. With all the thoughts coming up today it took him 10 minutes to clear his mind. The kids knew not to disturb him when he was doing this. "Your father had to be braver than anyone ever should have had to have been," Sophie explained to the kids. "Sometimes memories can hurt just as much as meddlers. Every now and then he will need some time to get rid of the memories and come back to where he is now."
