The brown skinned girl smiled at the corny joke the bandaged man made. "Dazai, Do you really call that comedy"
He looked at her and feigned being hurt "Ouch you really think so low of my jokes" he flared his arms out and slowly fell towards the grass "you pain me"
Adonis giggled flicking a coil out of her face her smile soon dropped. "..Dazai"
she played with her chipped nail polish "Do you think you could change it. you know the amount of time you can stay outside. do you think you parents would understand"
she was looking down afraid to meet the eyes of the one who owned her affection without even knowing it.
he looked back up at her and tilted his head, his once big smile faltered as thoughts of being caught up with the mafia and Mori pops in his head, she had no idea what she was talking about. he sighed and looked up at the afternoon clouds "no. i've tried but you know the outcome my parents aren't fond of me not studying 24/7" he lied. everything that slipped past his pale lips were a lies. he can't let her know his personal life at this moment. it's for her own good. or was it for his own. he didn't want his only friend to dislike him because of his actions when he's not with her.
she nodded "It was worth a shot I guess" she gave him a pained smile which he didn't return.
"It's almost 1 you have to go back home soon" Dazai nodded. he knew. after this he'd have to go back to the place he had no choice but to call "home", back to his every move being watched by Mori.
But she didn't need to know that.
he placed her hand in his. "Next month like always." The Brown skinned girl nodded "yes next month" they locked pinkies before Dazai up and left.
but that was the last time she saw him. there was no next month. she showed up. but he was nowhere to be found. she made up excuses for him. it went on for two years. two years of maybe it's exams. maybe he's grounded. or maybe he Forgot About Me.
