After dinner, we went to watch a movie in the livingroom. Malia fell asleep mid way. Leyla took her to her bedroom.

"Thank you for being amazing, my sister is important to me."

"She's adorable. I had fun with her and you today." I smiled.

He leaned in and capture my lips with his. He placed me on his lap, as we kept devouring our lips. He slid his tongue and played with mine. It's crazy how much I enjoy kissing him.

"I could kiss you all day." He pecked my lips.

"Me too." I smiled agaisnt his lips.

We heard the door opening and I got off his lap. We heard footsteps and I got a little scared, I grabbed a vase.

"Really?" He gave me a look.

"What, I can throw it on their faces and run." I shrugged, he rolled his eyes.

"I hope you don't throw that at us." A woman told me.

"Mom, dad. I thought you were on a trip?"

"We're leaving again in a week, care to introduce us?" His dad told him.

"Nika, meet, Raymond and Shelia. My caring and loving parents."

We shook hands.

"New flavor of the week?" His mom asked.

"No, we're dating and is getting serious. He hasn't even tried to have sex with me. But instead of saying things to me, go say hi to Malia." I responded. I dislike them already.

"Big mouth for a small person." With that said, his dad went to Malia's bedroom.

"I prefer your ex, at least she didn't talk back to us." She left after that.

"Lovely meet you both!" I yelled, Derek lost it and laughed.

"That was awesome." He pulled me into a kiss.

"I can see why you love them so much." I giggled.

"Good thing they're only back for a week." He rolled his eyes.

"You and Malia should come have dinner at my house, this Saturday. Mom makes amazing food. And it's a change of scenary." I suggested.

"We're there." He said in a heart beat. I chuckled.

His mom returned and said, "we have to leave now, theres a very important meeting in Dubai in three days."

"What else is new." Derek rolled his eyes.

"Let's go darling." Derek's dad said to her.

"Mommy, daddy don't leave again." Malia came running as she cried. "Stay." She hugged her mother's leg.

This breaks my heart. All they ever wanted was loving parents.

"We have business sweetie, we'll be back soon." She hugged Malia.

"Take me." She sobbed.

"One day we will all have a family vacation, for now, we have to work." He hugged Malia and then they both left.

Derek picked her up and she cried. "It will be Alright, one day, things might be different. But we have each other and that's what matters."

"Yes, big bro." She wiped her tears and then gave him a kiss on his cheek.

I smiled looking at them. They have an amazing bond. I wish their parents could be here for them and make some memories together.

...........

The night of the dinner came. We set the table in the backyard. The night was beautiful.

I heard the doorbell and went to open it. He was carrying a flower bouquet and Malia had a box of cupcakes in her little hands. I motioned them to come inside. My parents came out of the kitchen and they all introduced themselves.

"These are for you and we also brought dessert." He said while giving mom the flowers.

"Thank you, they're beautiful." Mom smiled.

"Phew." Malia said while giving the cupcakes to my dad. "It was heavy."

We laughed at that.

"Dinner is ready, let's go." Mom said to us.

Everyone followed, except Derek. He pulled me into a very passionate kiss. We pulled away and smiled.

"Love birds, stop sucking faces and come eat." Dad yelled at us. We laughed.

We joined them at the table and dad decided to be, well, a dad.

"So, what are your intentions with our daughter?"

"Well, they're good intentions. I like her a lot, even though she was a pain when we first met." He grinned at me.

I rolled my eyes. "Hey, I was a delight, you just got my bad side because you decided to be an ass."

My parents and Malia laughed.

"It's true what they say, opposites do really attract." Mom added before eating her chicken.

"Isn't that a story?" I asked.

"Yeah, although people complained about the main characters a lot, just because his mom married her dad. Not like the kids grew up together." Mom answered.

"People need to just enjoy and shut up once in a while. The ending was nice. Plus, who didn't love their daughter saying 'bye bye putas'." Derek  added. I laughed.

"Okay, I'm so reading that book, I think I saw it in the bookshelve." I said, mom nodded.

We finished our dinner and talked for a while. I saw dad and Derek talking about football.

"He's a nice guy. I like him." Mom told me as she picked up the dishes from the table.

"He really is. He was just looking for someone to listen and be there for him." I mentioned.

"Well, you be there for him. And let him know, that he is always welcome here, both of them." She smiled.

I saw Malia playing in the swings. All they ever wanted was parents to listen to them.

"I will." I smiled.
