"Hey Meliodas?"
"Yes, Elizabeth?"
"This is a bad idea, isn't it?"
There was a mirthless kind of laughter in her voice. Ocean blue eyes looked away from the night sky and locked with his green ones.
"It probably is, but I can't find myself worrying about that right now."
He looked into her eyes, waiting for her answer.
"No, it's never a problem with you."
The music below them was loud and the laughter of the humans below them echoed through the night. The two of them sat on the rooftop of a bar, gazing down at the festivities under them. There was a group dance, and Meliodas was unbelievably happy that he didn't have to be down there. Of course, he was a good dancer, being a prince, but when it came to group dances and improvising, he didn't stand a chance. He didn't know the meaning behind real fun until a few months ago, so he was still new and acustuming to the feeling. But he enjoyed looking at those who at least had a clue of what to do.
And still, he felt a little bit of guilt while watching them.
To think he killed the likes of them just a few weeks ago for fun. Those who were enjoying themselves and being with their loved ones, who's only crime had been to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
A warm, calming hand laid on his shoulder. Meliodas looked into the goddesses eyes again, and suddenly he couldn't find himself to care. All that mattered was now.
He pressed his lips onto hers, kissing her slowly. And as the kiss ended, both of them needing air, he just looked into her eyes.
"It's a really good bad idea, isn't it though?"
He looked into her eyes, that deep and glowing blue that always seemed to captivy him no matter the situation.
She laughed, a happy one this time. "Yeah, I suppose you’re right, but… could you do that again?"
He did. And just as their lips met, the fireworks exploded in the sky. Red, green, golden and pink colors were all over the sky.
"I'm going to say something completely insane, but I think I'm in love with you, Meliodas!"
"I think I'm in love with you, too!"
This would get them killed, and both knew that, but both of them couldn't find it in themselves to care, because they were all that mattered. And always would.
The time traveled on, and as the sun came over the horizon, the both of them were gone. Back at either the Goddess or the demon realm. And both of them would find each other again and again, until someone else did.
And the tragedy of the two cursed lovers began, an eternal torment only stopped after 3000 years of torture and struggle.
