"WHAT THE HELL?!" Rylee accidentally shout as we walk through the hallway, "Rylee! Lower down your voice," I covered her mouth and looked around to see if anybody heard it. "Okay, okay. Sorry, I'm just a little bit freaked out," She said as she calms down, "Are you really sure?" She asked then I nodded.

"I think the principal can read your mind," I said and chuckled, "We should report her," Rylee joked then we laughed. "Girls!" We turned around and saw Jassy and Deb, I smiled to Deb but she just gives me her small smile but more likely a sad smile. I think she is still disappointed about what happened earlier, Jassy and Rylee looked at us and gave us a confused face.

"Tell me what happened earlier between you two," Rylee whispered to me before facing Jassy and Deb, "Shall we go?" Rylee asked then they nodded. I glance again at Deb and saw that she is a little bit sad, "Deb? Are you okay?" I asked then she looked at me.

"I'm fine, don't worry," She smiled, I know that is a fake one's. I just smiled back to her and we continued to walk. "Shall we go to an ice cream parlor?" Jassy asked, "Sure!" We said then we went to the ice cream armor that was not too far from the school.

As we went inside, we heard a group of boys laughing. I look at the corner of the parlor and saw Reece, the popular football player in the school, with his friends. They noticed us then quickly smiled, Reece got out of his seat then went to us. "Hey, girls. What you all doing here?" He asked as he put his both hands in his pockets, "We're here to eat ice cream, is there a problem of it?" Rylee steps forward and crosses her arms.

Rylee kinda hates this guy because he's hitting on me or courting me. But I want to admit that I liked him too, I'm just too shy, and Rylee and the girls know that.

"I and the boys can treat you, would you mind?" He scratches the back of his neck then my eyes widened, "Oh! No, thank you, Reece. But thank you for asking," I smiled as I tightened the hold of the books that I was holding. "I would like to treat you, girls! Just this once, please, "He begged and got down at his knees.

Me and the girls except for Rylee gasped and helped him stand up, I dust off the dirt in his pants then went back to my place. "Please, girls," He begged one more time, I looked through the girls as I wait for their answers. They nodded then Reece and his friends smiled.

"Okay! So what would you like?" He asked, "One vanilla, one cookies and cream, one chocolate, and one brownie temptation," I said. Me and the girls always order those flavors since we always go here in the ice cream parlor. Reece ordered the ice creams then quickly went to us, "You should sit with us," He offered then we sat with them.

"Thank you, Reece. You shouldn't have, " I smiled then he smiles back, "Don't need to worry, girls. Today is my day," He said. "Today is your birthday?!" I exclaimed then he chuckled, "Uhm, yes," He said as he hides his face. "Aww, why hide?" I chuckled then I saw him blushed, "Here is your order, sir," The waitress gave us our orders then we thanked him.

"Anyways, Reece. Happy birthday, " I smiled to him, "Happy birthday, Reece," The girls also greeted him with a smile that was plastered in their faces. "You're not angry at him anymore?" I whispered to Rylee then she glared at me a little, "Look, I'm trying to be nice at him," I chuckled and looked at the boys.

"So, tell me about you guys!"

Me and Rylee went inside the house. "Katherine, is that you?" Mom shouted from the kitchen, "Yes, Mom!" I shouted back with a smile. I noticed Dad in the couch with a newspaper in his hands that he was reading, I went to him and hugged him. "Hello, Dad," I kissed his cheek then he smiled.

"Oh, Rylee. You're also here! Take a seat, sweetie," Mom came out from the kitchen with an apron that she was wearing, "Thank you and good afternoon, Mr. and Mrs. Denbrough," Rylee smiled and sat down at the solo couch.

"Sweetie, didn't I told you already that don't call me that? Just call me Jacqueline," Mom said, "And just call me Karl," Dad also spoke. "Okay, Mr.-- I mean, Karl and Jacqueline," I chuckled then Rylee nudges me, "You should eat dinner with us, Rylee," Mom offered then Rylee nodded. "Thank you again, Jacqueline," She said then Mom smiled.

She went back to the kitchen and Dad continued to read the newspaper, I faced Rylee and gestured her to come with me. "Let's go to my room," I offered then we went upstairs to my room, I opened the door then Rylee gasped.

"Damn, girl. Your room is so clean," She said and smiled as she looked around, "That's the result of being not lazy," I teased her since she is so lazy to clean her room. "I would like to sleepover here!" She plopped into my bed and hugged my pillow after she there her bag on the floor, I chuckled as I took her bag from the floor and put it in my bean bag.

"Okay, tonight's the moment of truth," Rylee sat up and looked at me, "Tell me about what happened to you and Deb earlier," She said then I remembered what Deb told me earlier. My face turned into a frown and I turned around, my back facing her.

"I don't want to talk about it," I sighed, "Why not? You two were together when the lunch ends, did something happened when me and Jassy are not around at you two?" She asked. "There's nothing happened, okay?" I put both of my hands beside me and looked down.

"Come on, Kat. I know you're lying," She said and sat beside me, "Alright" I looked at her. "I thought Deb knows that we are lying to her, we encountered Lance on the way to the classroom and she thought that there is something happening between us," I explained.

"You encountered Lance? Tell me about it," She rolled to the floor and waited for me to speak, "And now you're interested in our encounter?" I glared at her then she gave me the pleading eyes. "No, I already told you what happened to me and Deb. Isn't that enough for you to hear?" I asked.

"Are you angry at me? I'm sorry, I didn't know it will end this way," She said as she looked down, "I'm not angry, it's just... I just don't want to tell it," I said then she nodded.

"Girls! Dinner's ready!"
