Let's recap! Actually there's nothing to recap that much. Basically, Kuro confessed he's an Omega to Mahiru instead of the other way around like most stories, this is a follow-up of that.

Kuro, standing towards Mahiru in the kitchen, the brunette eating apples while the blue-haired just stared at him....in shocking, wide eyes when his 'partner' just responded with the 'cool' persona.

Wait, what?! Kuro thought. Wait, wait...you are supposed to be shocked, Mahiru! What kind of a person are you?!

"Wait..." Kuro stuttered, "How-you are not that shocked?"

"Of course, I am not!" Mahiru insisted, "Keep it together, Kuro. We're the main characters, it is simple enough that we would be "fated" pairs in such cheap fanfic, simple logic 101?"

"But it is fine, I like simple things, right? Stay like this makes all the good things happen without being too complicated. You think so too, Kuro?" Mahiru innocently asked back. Kuro took that as a scary one instead.

Of course! We're the main characters! The main pairing! The main pairing in this Servamp franchise that milks tons of fan services to the fandom! Obviously, we get paired up like that in this cheap and poorly written Wattpad-quality fanfiction! How ridiculous am I?! That's why Mahiru wasn't so surprised if we were fated AOB pairs! AGHHHHHH!!

"Y-yeah..." Kuro breathed out.

The Sloth vampire now realized that the confession wasn't as bad as he thought it would be. Was it predicted by 'The Creator' on his own? Or is it something just be a total coincidence? Kuro is far from the type of person who would actually analyze something that he thinks doesn't sit right, but what he can understand from Mahiru...

"What?" Mahiru spoke out, "I have some homework to do, do you have anything to say? Kuro?" He tilted his head cutely, innocently, like a confused student during a classroom session, and Kuro's trying hard to get that image out. Goddamnit, he's so cute said Kuro's irrational mind.

"Before you go..." Kuro finally said, "I wanted to confirm something..." Mahiru hummed questionably.

"You are an Omega, right?" the brunette tensed at the personal question but regained his thoughts nonetheless.

"Sadly, I am." Mahiru shrugged, his face turned down a bit, "Honestly, I wasn't so happy when it first came out as my AOB testing results, but as time past, I beginning to get used to it..." he smiled sincerely, "Even though I am an Omega, I will try my best to thrive in this status!" Mahiru proudly determined. At this moment, any people when being involved in this situation would kind of smile back sincerely or bugged off, sure there was some courageous of it, but the lines as still too cliche and most people wouldn't be too believable of this situation in whether Mahiru would truly thrive; from the quote from Aaron Burr in Hamilton: 'fools who run their mouths will wind up dead.'

Kuro poker face the whole situation, but he was actually astonished by it. Mahiru has gone through a lot during their highlighted times: A long battle within the C3, fighting and redeeming Tsubaki, made a lot of connection with useful people along the way, and most importantly, able to save and redeem Kuro from his past mistakes and trauma. Undoubtedly, he saw something inside Mahiru. Although as an Omega, a status only be useful for breeding and a temporary prostitute, and without knowing it for the past 1 year, he saw Mahiru develop, succeed, and survive in the most chaotic situations possible.
