Forever After

I don't own Ever After High or its characters.

If I did, Raven and Dexter so would've become a couple by now and Cupid would have stayed at Monster High.

Raven's P.O.V:

He didn't deserve to die.

Why him?

Why Dexter?

Why did he have to go and save me from my mother's dragon?

Why didn't he just let me die?

Why did he have to be the hero?

Why not Daring?

My mother might finally be defeated and put to Maximum Mirror Prison for Ever After.

But I lost someone very close to me.

Someone who was always there for me.

Someone that I love.

Someone kept shaking me.

I opened my eyes.

"Raven." Apple said. "You're gonna have to get out of bed sometime."

I've been in my bed, crying my eyes out, sleeping, having nightmares about what happened.

The worst part is when I watch him die in my arms.

I shook my head and tears came falling down again.

"Apple..please...just leave me alone." I said sadly.

"Raven...today is his wake." She responds. "I think it's best that you go."

I slowly got up. I feel like I should go. But I kinda don't want to.

"I will leave you alone to get dressed." Apple says and then leaves the dorm.

I look into the mirror.

My hair was really messy and eyes were red and bloodshot, with old mascara stains on my cheeks. I looked terrible.

But at this point, I didn't care.

Ten minutes later I was clean and ready.

I completely put everything black. From my dress which was strapless, with a belt that had a bow, with a small jacket, to my fishnet tights, to my signature shoes ,to my black, fingerless gloves, to my makeup.

Then I sighed. "Let's do this." I thought, and left the dorm.

Then a couple of minutes later, I was at a huge room where the wake was held. People,all dressed in black, were in chairs and sofas, whispering and some people were at the...coffin, paying their respects.

"Raven!" Someone whispers.

I turn around to see Maddie, also, for the first time, wearing black, even her hat.

"You came!" She whispers." Why are you whispering? I ask her.

"I don't know. I just don't want to be too loud..Loud enough to wake the dead!" She says and giggles.

I winced. She notices. "Oh Raven. I am..so sorry. I didn't mean to..."

"It's ok Maddie." I say.

Then she puts a hand on my shoulder. "Do you...? Want to see him? "She asks.

I slowly nod.

She then walks me over to the coffin and people start to move away, then she leaves.
