A soft wind blew its way through Dream's hair as he watched the sun fade beneath the horizon.  It was the middle of fall and despite Florida being ungodly hot, it was soothing.

Staring off into the multicoloured distance, Dream began to speak.  "Do you remember the first time we came here?  It was near Christmas and you had just gotten off your plane."  A soft chuckle echoed in the back of the young YouTuber's mind.  "I do remember," it spoke softly.

"I remember you laughing about how tired you were and how I kept dragging you around to places while you wanted to curl up in a ball and sleep.  You passed out in my arms watching this same sunset, you know."  The omnipotent voice laughed quietly and fell silent.  "Hey, Dream?"

A hum resonated through the empty air. "You know I miss you, right?"

"I know."

"You know I'm still going to always be there, right?"

"I know," came the reply once again.

The voice sighed and Clay felt soft hands wrap around his sides, pulling him slightly back.  "You know, imagine just sitting here the entire time.  The soft Florida breeze... the excruciating summers, the mild winters... it's much better than England.  It's also sunny here!  Imagine that!"

Clay wheezed and collapsed onto the grass beneath him.  "You're such an idiot, George."

A laugh came from behind Dream, but faded quickly into the sunset.  "I was your idiot," were the final words he heard before night came and blanketed the world in a dark hug.

Sitting up, the blonde brushed off any of the grass which remained on his clothes and turned his back to leave his little spot, tears dotting his vision and falling gently to the ground below.

"You promised you wouldn't leave me, remember? You.." Clay collapsed back onto the ground, hollow sobs wracking his body.  "You.. promised me, G-George!"

The name of his lost lover echoed within the night and for the first time in his entire life, Clay had never felt more alone.

This was a super short story, but I wanted it to be!  I didn't think there needed to be any more context... but who wants to hear a little more?  Maybe this deserves a good ending.. or even a bad one. Let me know in the comments!
