Chapter Fifteen: Surprises

So, Tadley and I have been dating for a little over eight months now, and i couldn't be happier. We rarely fight, and when we do it's over little things such as where we want to eat, what movie to watch etc. I haven't heard from Reese since he left all those months ago, and the last Lacey has heard he's just trying to move on and give me space. 

I can't say that i'm disappointed he left, it's actually been really peaceful and i haven't had to deal with any of his drama. I got another job working as a model, and the pay is great so i can't complain, however i tend to keep my clothes on now a days. I'm currently having a family get together at my house just because we haven't spent time as a whole family in a while. Everyone is here, aunts and uncles, cousins and their spouses and kids, grandparents, my friends, and of course Tad.

I finally got a moment away from playing hostess and catching up with family, and i made my way over to my girls to talk to them for a little while before i'm whisked away again. 

"Okay, i'm going to need you guys to punch me in the ovaries..." I stated as soon as i walked up to them. 

"Ummm, why?" Cindy asked raising her eyebrow at me in confusion. 

"That sounds painful, why would you want us to do that?" Ava said shaking her head.

"Because Tadley is holding my cousin Hannah's baby and he's so cute with her it's doing things to me! My uterus is screaming at me and i am nowhere near ready for that yet." I exclaimed motioning over to Tadley where he was holding my cousin's little baby, he was gently bouncing her and rubbing her back, he was talking softly to her and it was so damn cute. Then he had to go and make it worse by kissing her on her little chubby cheek!

"Oh my goodnessssssssss!" I cried out as my heart melted at the sight. 

"Oh my god! You guys need to have a baby, can you imagine how freaking cute it would be?! Especially with a mother like you and a father like Tadley! You guys would create the perfect spawn!" Lacey squealed in awe. 

"I now understand why you need us to punch you in the ovaries, because i think i need to be punched in the ovaries now as well!" Ava groaned. 

"Why does he have to be so perfect? I mean no offense, i'm not trying to come on to your man, i think you guys are an amazing couple. I just mean he's good looking, has a great personality, he's funny, he spoils the shit out of you, AND he's good with kids? Like why? Why does he have to steal all of the good qualities from all the other men in the world? It's not fair!" Cindy pouted making me laugh. 

"No offense taken, i completely know how you feel!" I agreed. 

"Why didn't you tell me you bagged yourself such a hottie?!" A voice questioned from behind me. I spun around and without thinking i started squealing loudly in excitement and launched myself into his arms. 

"JAMESSSSSSSSSSSSS!"  I squealed in happiness. James is my best friend from Texas, i text him all the time, we FaceTime and we keep up with each other's lives, but i never expected to see him at my house!
