We were in the car, driving to the house from the picture. Sam was investigating whole morning, and he finally found the address.

“So, Hay, um, I have a question”, Sam said.

I lifted my head.

“Sure, shoot”, I said.

“Um, who’s Nathaniel?”, Sam asked, curiosity revealing in his eyes.

Damn it. He probably found out. I didn’t want to tell him anything, at least not right now. Dean turned his head and looked at me, smirking.

“Nathaniel? Well that’s a dark name”, he said.

“It is, isn’t it?”

“You haven’t answered me”, Sam stated. He was going all ‘I’m the big brother’. I kinda liked it. It was nice knowing that someone actually cares. But I needed to protect them, at least until I find out what was Nate saying at the end.

“Um, just my…friend. We haven’t seen each other for years”, I lied, not even blinking. “Where did you get that name?”, I asked, curious.

“You were mumbling that name yesterday while you were asleep”, Sam said, and shrugged.

“Oh”, I said and sighed in relief. He didn’t know anything.

Dean smirked, but didn’t say anything.

The rest of the ride was silent, with quite music in the background.

Dean pulled up the car in front of some white house. That was the house from the picture. We knocked, posing as FBI. Some old woman in her seventies opened the door. Dean, Sam and I exchanged confused glares.

“Hello ma’am. We’re from FBI”, Sam said and showed his badge. Dean and I shared a look and did the same. A woman slowly moved closer to the door and checked our badges with curious look on her face. When she checked us, she smiled and led us into her living room.

“Come in, please”, she said.

When we sat on the couch she offered us some cookies.

“Oh, please”, Dean grinned. I looked at him disapprovingly and shook my head. “No, thanks”, he corrected himself, slightly frowning.

While Sam and Dean were questioning the woman about these drowning, I was walking around the room, looking at some pictures. I stopped when I saw a picture of a child.

“Sorry, ma’am. Who’s this?”, I asked, pointing at the picture.

“That’s my son Peter”, she said, smiling at the picture and then looking at me. “He drowned”, she added.

Boys and I shared looks. Well, this case is almost over, I thought and sighed.

“Did he happen to know Bill Carlton, or Jake Devins?”, Dean asked.

“Yes, he did”, the woman said with a sad look in her eyes. “Several decades ago my son was bullied by Bill and Jake. They were supposed to be his friends, but they came up with the idea to hold Peter’s head under the water in Lake Manitoc. Before they realized what was happening, Peter accidentally drowned, but the boys never had the intention to kill him.”

“I’m sorry”, I said, looking at the woman.

“Don’t be. Was that all you had to ask me?”

“As the matter of fact, it was. Good buy Misses Sweeney”, Sam said, and we all headed to the car.

When we hopped into the car I decided sleep a little. It wasn’t the right weather for me anyway. It was sunny and warm. I leaned on the seat and slowly fell asleep. I felt when Dean started the vehicle and we hit the road.
