ALISHA

I jerk a little when I feel something cold hit me hard in the face and it was wet. I slowly open my eyes to get a better vision and my eyes went wide as I see the person sitting in front of me.

"Didi?" Navya didi was sitting in a chair, in front of me, and her hands and legs were tied to the chair. I try to get up, but I couldn't because my hands and feet were also tied to the chair. "You're finally awake. Alisha, are you okay?" She asks me.

"Yeah I'm fine. My head hurts a little," I respond. I look around and I only see a light hanging from the ceiling between us and there's darkness everywhere and a door. "Didi, where are we? And did you throw water at my face?"

Navya didi answers, "I don't know where and I didn't throw water at your face."

"Then who did?"

"I did." I look ahead as I hear a male voice and see a dark figure standing not too far away from us. The dark figure walked closer to us and his face came in the light and I gasp. This is the guy who I saw in my dream!

"Dave?" I exclaim. "Ali, you know him?" Navya didi asks me. "Wow, you recognized me pretty quickly, especially for someone who has never met me," Dave spat. "I know of you. You accused Nathan of the death of your mate, Jani."

"He killed her!" Dave shouts. "No, he didn't. Jani and Nathan were best friends and Nathan has always protected his friendship with his friends. He would never kill Jani. Your mate was captive for six weeks by someone and sent a girl in her place and made her look exactly like Jani. Nathan even said that if I'd met her, I would believe that the girl is Jani, not an imposter," I try to explain to him.

"That's what they all say, but I'm not ready to believe it. My Jani did not commit suicide, she was killed, and her murderers are Nathan Casey and his father. They're responsible for Jani's death," Dave lets it out. "Dave, I know Nathan more than you. He would never do such a thing."

"By the way, Jani was your mate, right? Whenever she was near you, did you notice that she's not your Jani, but an imposter?" Navya didi puts him in a spot and he couldn't answer. "No, he was too much in love with his mate to even realize that she is not his mate."

"Shut up!" Dave's voice boomed within the closed-in walls. "That's not the point. The point is that Nathan still did the wrong thing and took my love away from me and he will go through the same pain that I went through, when I get rid of you."

Dave had me at gunpoint and the smell of wolfsbane was radiating from the gun. "Why are you bringing my sister into this?" I ask him.

"Because I saw him hit you in the back of the head, so he took me along with him," Navya didi answers for him and Dave nods in agreement. He may be a strong wolf, but he's a little mental in the head. Dave advances on me, raises his hand and slaps me across the face.

"Alisha!" I look back at him with anger in my eyes as I felt it build inside of me. "Don't you ever call me mental. Call me that again and I will make sure that your little mate gets parts of your body as a gift."

Out of anger, I kick him in the shin hard and he coils back in pain. "Don't call Nathan 'little mate'. He is the strongest and loyal mate I have ever met, and I can guarantee that he has nothing to do with Jani's death. Your mate committed suicide. Admit it!" I raise my voice.

"I will not admit it! Your mate killed her, and I will make sure that he pays for it." He angles the gun at my heart, and I swallow, preparing myself to take it. "No please let her go! You won't get anything by killing Alisha. Jani's soul will not rest in peace," Navya didi pleads.

"Didi, don't plead in front of him. He's not worth it," I tell her. "Shut up, Alisha. I can't lose my sister!" She exclaims.

I'm sorry, Nathan, but it looks like our time together ends here.
