Chapter Eighteen: Slumber Party With Unca Talley Pt 2

"Dinner's done!" I called out a while later after we finished cooking. Karlie and I giggled as we listened to the guys feet pounding into the room, they sounded like a herd of starving elephants.

I put a big bowl of steak fajitas with onions, red, green, and yellow peppers in the middle of the table, and put a plate of toasted tortilla shells down next to the fajita mix. I got the guys another beer as they all sat around the table. 

"Dude, this looks amazing! What's the occasion?" Kyle questioned. I rolled my eyes. Why do these guys think that home cooked dinners are such a huge deal?!

"No occasion, she cooks for me like this every night!" Tadley grinned proudly. 

"Yeah, she really likes to cook!" JJ agreed. 

"Babe, it looks amazing, but Karlie won't eat it because of the peppers..." Tadley told me. 

"Oh really? Because she's been standing in a chair beside me picking them out and eating them as i cooked..." I said raising my eyebrow at him. As if to prove my point she reached over and snuck a pepper out of the bowl. I couldn't help but giggle at her trying to be sneaky about it. 

"What? She never ate peppers before!" He stated looking shocked. 

"Maybe they weren't seasoned well..." I said with a shrug of my shoulders. 

I filled up a little cup with apple juice and grabbed the plate i had cooling in the fridge for Karlie, I sat them on the table in front of her and then sat down beside her and cut up the steak in smaller bits for her before i put them on a tortilla shell. 

She was in between Tad and I. Once Karlie's plate was made we all dug into our food. Karlie kept wanting bites of mine even though she had a plate of her own with the same thing, i just smiled and gave her a bite every time. 

"Wow, sis. Who knew you'd be so good with kids?" JJ asked looking at me in surprise. 

"I used to babysit for our neighbors down in Texas. I actually love kids." I shrugged. We finished eating, and the guys cleaned up, while i took Karlie up and gave her a bath and got her changed into her jammies. She was wearing a little pink pajamas shirt that said not tired, with matching pink pajamas pants that had little crowns all over them. 

I took her downstairs once she was done with her bath and noticed that Kyle and JJ had left, i let Tad know i was going to go take a shower and change and then we could start our little movie night. I went back upstairs and took a quick shower, changed, and threw my hair up into a messy bun. My pajamas were just an oversized off the shoulder white sweater, and grey sleep shorts. 

I walked downstairs with my phone in hand and grinned as i seen Tadley sitting on the couch getting makeup put on him by Karlie. He had little pink clips in his hair, lipstick smeared all around his mouth, bright pink blush all over his cheeks, and dark blue eyeshadow all over his eyes and up above his eyebrows. I giggled quietly and hurriedly took a picture and sent it to Ashley.
