How Aliens Can Ruin Realtionships

This is a short story that is a flip on same sex marriage, but instead of being gay isn't a bad thing, it is being straight. (908 words)

A giant flash of light shines from a strange space descending from earth. The aliens are back and, they have won the war. This is not a good sign for Diana and Percy. The Aliens that call themselves Lemieons have taken over earth.

Twenty years ago, a war started between Lemieons and Humans. The Lemieons are an advanced species that can only mate with Lemieons of the same gender. This is not a good for Diana and Percy because they are madly in love with each other. They hold hands, go on dates, and do all things that normal couples do, but since the Aliens have taken over they have made a couple of changes to earth.

Once the Lemieons official established leadership over earth they had a long list of rules to follow like you have to be in your house by nine pm and you can only marry and date people of the same gender. Obviously that last one was a big thing for Diana and Percy because they aren't the same gender. Diana is a girl and Percy is a boy, but they had a plan. They're both going to date but in secret. Both Diana and Percy's parents told them to break up, but they didn't listen.

Diana and Percy started to meet up in dark creep alleyways that look as if a murder scene might of happen there and at the mystery woods that looked like something out of a fantasy story, behind Diana's house. When they did meet up they would do all those couple things that they did before the Lemieons invaded like hold hands, go on now undercover dates and kiss but only sometimes. One night when Diana and Percy where both out at woods behind Diana's house, at ten o'clock at night, doing couple things, when a bright flash of light scans a cross the forest then disappears then Diana and Percy hear some talking. The Lemieons have finally found them. They hear the aliens get in a vehicle and come towards them. Diana and Percy start running towards Diana's house, hand in hand. Once they get to the fence of the home they feel a intends light shine onto their back. Diana and Percy were court. One of the Lemieons told them to turn around with their hands in the air. Diana and Percy turned as the Lemieon said that Diana and Percy are under arrest for being outside past curfew and for dating someone of the opposite gender. Two Aliens put heavy electric handcuffs on Diana and Percy and took them to the vehicle that will take them to the jail cell where they will wait until it is their trial day.

A couple of days later, it was Diana and Percy trial day. In the court room, they didn't get any lawyers. They just have this big machine that scans the people in the trail tells you if your guilty or not. Diana and Percy went in they saw their parents looking at them like they committed a war crime. Once they were at the stands, Percy was the first to go up to get scanned. He was so nervous he was shaking like a blender. He didn't want to let his goddess like of a girlfriend down with gorgeous green eyes, dark curly hair, that looks as soft as a sheep. Percy thought about Diana and the whole situation so much that he was daydreaming during his scan. He was guilty. When Percy realised his results he looks at his parents to say sorry, but this parent just looked away. Now, it was Diana's turn. As She went up to the stand she had similar thoughts as Percy, worried about how Percy and her parents will feel. how she also does want to disappoint her prince with dashing blonde hair that's as bright as the sun. when the scan happen Diana was also guilty, but she didn't need to look back at her parents. Diana could feel their death stare drilling to the back of her head. Since Diana and Percy were both found guilty they were sentenced to house arrest and to never see each other ever again. This fact shaded both of their hearts.

It's been two weeks after Diana and Percy trial, and Percy can't take it anymore he misses his girlfriend so much. He is sick of getting yelled at by his parents for being such a disgrace to his family. Percy couldn't handle it any longer. He went into his bathroom and grab a hand full of pain relievers and swallowed them all at once. His vision was blurry for a couple of seconds then he dropped to the floor. Percy's parents heard a loud thud. when they came up stairs their son was dead. Two days later Diana heard about this from a mutual friend and she cried. She cried so much that she could have created another ocean. After a bit of crying she grab a box cutter and started cutting herself. Diana end up cutting so much that she bleeds to death. Her parents were not home to save her, so when they did get home they found her dead in her bedroom. Both Diana and Percy's parent both released what they have done and filed a complaint, that ended up changing the rules, which made anyone is allowed to date or marry whoever they like.
