Bakugo
(This chapter is very long. It is the longest chapter in my book. I didn't really want to divide it into separate parts, so here's one big long chapter for you to read. Enjoy!)
Sooner than expected, the end of the week came and Kirishima was released from the hospital. Everyone was overjoyed to see him good and well again. The day after he got back, which was a Sunday, I visited Hikari again. The visit went how it usually did, but when I was leaving her room, I ran into a small girl.
I growled and said, "Watch where you're goin, kid."
She looked up at me and I was surprised to see that her eyes were the same color as mine. Her hair was black and she had a small horn on the left side of her head.
"Sorry, Mister," she said quietly, not quite looking me in the eyes. "Is this the room of the girl who saved me?"
I frowned a little. I remember Deku saying that the whole time they were gone on that mission was because they were saving a girl named Eri, and it turned out that Hikari saved Eri's sister, a little girl named Kaiya.
"Yeah, why?"
She reached up to the doorknob. "I wanted to say thank you."
I quickly snatched her hand and pulled it away from the door handle.
"She's... not feeling well right now," I lied. "How about you go back to your room and you can visit her when she's feeling better?"
She nodded. "Okay. Thank you, Mister."
She walked down the hallway, her bare feet barely making a sound on the hard ground. I let out a sigh and went back to the dorms. When I got there, our whole class was in the middle of playing a game.
"Hey, Bakugo!" Sero exclaimed, waving and drawing everyone's attention to me. "You wanna join us?"
I shook my head and took my shoes off. Uraraka came over to me as I walked passed them.
"How's Hikari?" She asked.
"Fine," I said half heartedly.
"You say that every time," she said. "Are you sure?"
"Why don't you go see for yourself if you're so worried?" I suddenly yelled, turning towards her.
Everyone grew quiet and they looked at me.
"Why do you always ask me how she's doing? It's not like she's getting any better! She's in a f****** coma, for f***'s sake! If you're so worried go to the hospital yourself!" I said angrily, looking around at everyone else. "That goes for all you extras, too."
"I was just wondering..." she said softly. "I mean, you're always visiting her..."
"Because she's my f****** girlfriend!" I screamed, tears filling my eyes. I grabbed the collar of my shirt. "What else am I suppose to do? Just sit here and play games with everyone and pretend like nothing happened?"
My voice broke and I began sobbing. The room was dead silent except for the sound of me weeping. I sunk to the floor, my face in my hands, the pain in my heart tearing me apart. I felt someone kneel down next to me and they pulled me into them, wrapping me tightly in their arms.
I was going to pull away but then I smelled a familiar smell. I buried my face into Kirishima's shoulder and tried to control my crying, but I couldn't. Soon I began shaking uncontrollably and my body heaved with every sob and with every breath I took. I could barely process what Kirishima was saying.
