It was a Tuesday. I only know that because he invited me to Taco Tuesday at the local Billiard's that very night before it closed to us minors. I was a junior in high school, still without a license and counting desperately on my mom to be able to pick me up from my barista job that evening to meet him in time. The car ride there would be filled with questions I would need to create answers too. What's his name? Andrew. Is he in your class? No, he's a senior. What does he drive? I don't know mom, but he snap chatted me and coincidentally we were both eating raisins so we decided if two people actually shared a love for raisins of all things, we must have a lot in common.
I was an hour late to meet him at NAPA where he worked, but it was okay. He didn't mind. He apparently got too hungry though and ate tacos alone at Billiard's. Instead he suggested we drive to Walmart. Maybe it's just a small town thing, but when bored, Walmart is the perfect place to kill time. He was actually the third guy to bring me to a Walmart for fun. By fun, I mean buying us the Play-Doe on sale and pure strips to use out in the parking lot on our blackheads. It was new, it was silly, and I think we had fun. I know we did actually, because we went back to Taco Tuesday after and stayed until 10 when they kicked us out. He drove me home in the Corolla, and told me to have a good night.

I believe God makes everything happen for a reason. I didn't search for Andy. He fell into my life unexpectedly when I needed him most, after being taken advantage of and devalued by numerous boys in high school. He wasn't some boy I sought the attention over who begged for me immaturely; he was a boy who had gone to school with me for years that took a chance at friendship and in the end found true love. We both did.
