Genesis's POV:

I flinched as the fire crackled and shot a piece of ash towards me. It had taken months but I had finally set up the portal out of the underworld to Earth. Unfortunately, said portal, did not seem very "welcoming" per se. It appeared as a hole in the ground circled in delicate purple flames. Looking down the hole, was as if peeking into an endless abyss of swirling shades of deep purple. It was mesmerizing, to say the least.

I stepped away from the makeshift gate that I had created in my yard and found myself wandering across the black sandy ground. Most people who envision Hell think of red. They expect endless orange and red flames as far as the eye can see. But as someone who was born here, I can confirm that this is not the case.

The underworld consisted of three color territories based on class. Every section's terrain consisted of charcoal-colored sand and occasional plants coordinated with the color of the domain.

The noble demons and devils lived in the red territory. It had tall, lean trees along with thin bushes that had maroon tinted leaves. I was born in the red region to a large family of high ranking devils. The Norwoods family was one of the three higher powers known as the "Noble Trinity" that managed the nether regions. The head member of the Norwoods would work as a council member with the people of Heaven to decide where souls would be directed. I was born a member of that family, the third child out of four. My father, the current head of the family, had a harem of women, so each of us had a different mother.

My eldest sister's name was Marinette (age 19). She kept to herself and had rejected being the first in line heir to the bloodline multiple times for unknown reasons.

My other elder sister, Chance (age 17), also missed her chance to be first in line because she spent most of her time sneaking out of the red territory

My other elder sister, Chance (age 17), also missed her chance to be first in line because she spent most of her time sneaking out of the red territory. It started with small adventures and parties in the green territory, but it eventually led to her occasionally visiting the purple region. Our father removed all chances of her being heir due to those get-aways into the green, but he was blissfully unaware of her trips into purple land. She didn't mind losing the chance because heading the family wasn't something that peaked her interest anyways.
