It was a normal day in Mason's life. He woke up at 8 in the morning, did his schoolwork, and was looking at his Discord server. Strangely enough, there were no new messages since the night before.
"Mason," his mom said, "are you ready to go to co-op?"
"Yes ma'am," he affirmed.
"Alright, we'll be leaving in ten minutes."
However, he would soon realize that being ready to go to co-op would destroy his entire life. But he didn't know about that yet. He was happy, because he was going to go see his friends like normal, right?
When he and his mother arrived, everything was fine. Paige, Colt and Luke were there with Mrs. Ash already. Paige was sitting at the table drawing some random boy band things while Colt was raging at the floor. Everything was normal.
Until Mrs. Lori, Levi and Joanna showed up. Well, it was actually a bit after that. The first few seconds were fine. But then he saw someone he had never seen before. Or had he...?
No... oh no... he knew that face. It had to be Jayson Sakagami, the worst person he had ever spoken to.
"Mason!" he shouted.
"Joanna, I know you did this," Mason promptly said accusingly.
"Not me, bro, not me," she said, but she was smiling.
"Yacht you, bro, yacht you!" Jayson said. "Anyways, aren't you happy to see me, Mason?" A mischievous grin came to his face.
"NO," Mason refuted.
"Why not?" Jayson whined.
"Umm," Paige said with an awkward laugh, "who is this guy?"
"It's my friend from New Jersey. Mason likes him a lot," Joanna said.
"I do not," Mason said sternly.
Jayson awkwardly walked closer to him. "Mason, can you prove a point for me?" He shook his head. "Do you hate me?"
"Yes," he answered promptly.
"What?!" Jayson lurched back. "No! Joanna can't be right!"
"You are the worst person I have ever spoken to," he reaffirmed.
"I've never done anything to you!" Jayson insisted.
"Oh, yes you have," Mason said.
"Yeah, you turned him into a terrible person with a terrible sense of humor and I hate him now," Joanna explained.
"That's not my fault!" Jayson exclaimed.
"That's your fault," Joanna said.
"NOT!" He crossed his arms.
"Why are you so loud?" Paige asked with an awkward laugh.
"Don't worry, you've never heard Mason on a Discord call," Joanna said reassuringly.
"That's not helping," Paige said.
"That's your fault," Joanna concluded.
"Why do you keep saying that?" The red-haired girl inquired.
"She's just weird, ignore her," Jayson said, "her opinion doesn't matter. She's a woman."
Paige was taken aback. "Umm... excuse me?"
"Just ignore him. Act like he doesn't exist," Mason said.
Just then, the door opened to reveal the greatest hair to ever exist. Ryan walked into the room. "What's up," he said. "Who are you?"
