"Where's is that useless piece of waste!" I heard my daddy yelled out loud from the main floor "Why Should I Care. He's Not My Child!!" My mommy yelled back at dad. I was sitting in the closet to hide away from them. I'm a smart three year old to know that I should hide from mommy and daddy when they get home. "I HATE YOU!!!" My mommy screamed. "I DON'T GIVE A DAMN IF YOU DO OR NOT!!" My daddy sceamed. I covered my ears to block out the yelling but it didn't help. I was humming rain, rain, go away when the door suddenly opened.
"There you are you piece of shit." My mommy said grabbing my arm and pulling me out of the closet. "Oww mommy that hurts!!" I cried in pain. "I don't give a shit, you worthless child." She hissed and dug her finger nails into my arm as she dragged me to the living room.
Reaching the living room, I saw my daddy with the belt. Mommy pushed me to the floor and daddy grabbed my hair. My hair was greasy and my clothes we too small for me. "You want to hide from us you shit!" Daddy screamed at me. I learned to keep my mouth shut unless I was talked to. "No Daddy, I don't want to hide" I said in a scared baby voice. I was hoping he wouldn't get mad but he raised the belt and started hitting me. I closed my eyes, hoping everything gonna disappear.
A little while after mommy joined in beating me, the door bell ranged. "go to your room, boy!" Daddy said and left to go answer the door. On my to the stairs I heard the voices. "Good Evening Sir, I'm officer Colt and this is my partner Officer Jones. We been having complaints about screaming and yelling, also things being thrown at this house. We filed a warranty to check your home out." Officer Colt said to my Daddy. "Sure please come in" My Daddy said. I rushed to my room before I get in trouble. I went to the closet and sat down with my toys in the denim light.
I heard my mommy voice out side the bedroom door. She was telling one of the officers not to go in my room but they didn't listen. I heard footsteps walking around my room, but they got closer when the closet door opened. I looked to see an good looking guy in an officer suit. My mommy was behind him glaring at me. "Hey kiddo, what are you doing in the closet?" He asked me. When I didn't answer he tried to get me out of the closet but I flinched and he saw the bruises on me. Soon another officer came in the room while daddy was following him.
"You don't need to be afraid. I'm Officer Jones, what's your name?" He asked me. "Wyatt" I said in my small voice. "Well Wyatt can you come out of the closet?" he said holding out his hand. I looked at my mommy and daddy and saw them glaring at me. I shook my head and hid behind the clothes. "Come on Wyatt, we promise we wont hurt you." the other Officer said. I thought that maybe this could be my freedom, so I stepped out from where I was hidding. "Thats right Wyatt." he said smiling. "Wyatt? Can you tell me how old are you?" I hold up three fingers and he nod. "Do you know how you got this bruises?" He asked me. I looked at the floor and whispered in a small voice. "Mommy and Daddy" The officer took his walkie talkie and said something. "YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!! I HOPE YOU DIE!!!!" Mommy screamed at me while daddy said I was worthless and nobody wants me. I saw the two officer took out silver bracelets and put them on mommy and daddy wrists.
Well were all sitting in the living room when the door opened and shut. The people walked in the room, one was a lady and the other was an officer. They took mommy and daddy while the lady smiled at me and held out her hand. "Its alright your going somewhere safe now" she said. I grabbed her hand and we walked out of the house.
I was riding in the car as the lady was taking me somewhere. The car stopped and I saw a building we were parked in. "Come on sweetie." The lady said as she helped me out of the car. When we got inside, I saw other kids running around, fighting and playing with each other. The lady called everyones attention and introduce me to them. She left me o play with the other but I only went to the window and looked out of it, hoping I soon will be away from this place.
