"please don't leave," i whined at my boyfriend max of two months. he laughed and shook his head at me while climbing down from the play equipment. "you know i have to go to training," he reached his hand up to help me down. i jumped down beside him and stuffed my hands in my hoodie pocket as we began to stroll across the park. "are you busy tomorrow?" i ask. "yes sorry, me and noah are going to his to play xbox," he replied stopping at the car park and scuffing his shoes up and down on the pavement. "oh okay," i said sadly. there was an awkward silence between us for a few seconds before max spoke. "my mum text she's pulling up now," he said. i nodded and he pulled me into a hug. "bye," i softly said. "bye," he replied and jogged off to his mum's car.

after a short walk home, i got in and said a quick hello to my family and went upstairs. i was in a low-key bad mood as max yet again always had an excuse not to hang out, maybe i'm just overthinking and he actually is busy all the time but hey whatever. i get into my room and drop face first on the bed and scream into the pillow. after a while of just laying there, i decided that i should call emily, my best friend. she picked up instantly and we talked for a bit. i complained about max to her. she agrees with me that he seems to be always making up excuses. after that we played a bit of truth or dare which got quite boring. for a while we sat on our phones scrolling through tik tok then emily invited me to her cousins birthday party. it was being held at her cousins house on Saturday so i had still had plenty of time to get an outfit.
