After what happened last night I couldn't face Chace in school. Everything was so awkward. He ruined my plans. I'm supposed to get through this year with no interruptions whatsoever. But he had to come in and wreck it all.
I was walking in the corridors and he walked past and I started fast walking to Maths class. This was the only class that we didn't share. Phew! Court was in my class and she kept asking questions.
"Are you angry at me?"
"Nah."
"Please talk to me. Remember the girl code? I was never going to kiss him!"
"I know. I don't even care anymore."
"Good. You should talk to him!"
"What?! No! Never!"
"Why? He wants to talk to you."
"Well I don't want to talk to him!"
"You can't avoid him forever!"
"I can! Nothing is impossible!"
"Fine. But sooner or later, he's going to find you and you'll have to talk to him!"
"I don't have to do anything!"
"Fine. Suit yourself.", she said. Obviously she was thinking of a plan.

I was in English class and Chace was there. He made eye contact with me and that made things more awkward than it already was. I quickly looked away.
Then 'she' came in. I forgot to mention but we had a popular girl. Every school had one. But 'she' was the popular girl in 3 different schools. How? I don't know. Her name is Hailey Matthews. She's a bleach blond super skinny hottie with big balloons! At least that's what Chace said. She walked in and I heard him say that. I failed to mention that she was EVIL! She was a horrible person and was super rich. No surprise!
She didn't bully me, but she would say things like 'whore', when she saw me down the hallway. I didn't really care. I stayed out of her way and she stayed out of mine. She recently got a fringe and she said it made her look more sophisticated! Ugh! I can't believe Chace likes her. She's got every boy wrapped around her finger, including Chace! I had to warn him. I was going to reach over to him and tell him to stay away from her. I didn't care about how awkward things were last night; I had to stop him from becoming her next victim. I tried to reach over to him but she got there before him. I listened closely on their conversation.
"Haii! You must be the new boy. Chace, right?", she said like the freaking Barrie doll she is.
"Yeah and you must be Hailey, right?", he asked a question back. They both laughed. Was he trying to flirt with her?
"So I heard you're a bad boy?", she batted her eyes and flicked her hair.
"Maybe I am."
"Well, you seem interesting."
"You too.", he winked. He looked her up and down like she was a map to the promise land.
Suddenly, Hailey turned her head around and caught me staring.
"Excuse me, but we're trying to have a conversation here. So can you stop staring, pervert!", she glared at me.
I didn't realise I was staring. Court sniggered and Chace turned around instantly. He looked me directly in the eye. He frowned, like he was confused.
"Ohh.....soz.....I.....errr.....well...", I said incoherent things again. Ugh! I quickly looked away and me and Court mentally. That was so embarrassing! I can't believe she actually saw me! And Chace looked at me! Why is he looking in my eyes though? He's always making things awkward!
"OMG! She is such a slut!", Court rolled her eyes.
"I know right! I can't believe Chace likes her!", I tried not to sound upset. But he used to pay all his attention to me, and now it's on her! I know I sound like an attention seeker but it's like he doesn't care about me.
"I don't think he really likes her. He's just trying to make you jealous", Court tried to reassure me. But it didn't work. I don't want him to make me jealous! I just want him to stop focusing on her.
"You know what, I don't even care anymore. High school boys are jerks! I'm so done!", I did care. But I had to make Court believe it. I hope she would. I got onto writing my comparative essay. I didn't look back at Hailey and Chace again. They make me sick!
