AN: First story please don't judge too much, any advice would be thankful though
May's POV
'BEEP BEEP BEEP!' My stupid alarm rang and I slowly rubbed my eyes. I sat up in bed and groaned because it was Monday. Monday meant there was school and I was really tired. I slowly dragged myself out of bed and headed to the bathroom. My chocolate waves tumbled down in a mess to my lower back and I combed it quickly. Next I changed into skinny jeans and a red t-shirt. I slipped a red headband into my hair and ran downstairs for breakfast. "Watch where you're going!!!" I heard my brother Max yell as I almost knocked him down on the stairs. I just rolled my eyes and gulped down my 5 pancakes within a minute. It was 8:00am and I knew school was starting in 30 minutes. I grabbed my black backpack and slipped my red high tops on. Then I grabbed my car keys and headed out to my BMW that I got for my 16th birthday. It was a 10minute drive to school and I met up with my best friend Leaf when I got to school. "May! I've Ben looking for you everywhere!" Leaf exclaimed. "Sorry! I was in a small rush today" I replied. She nodded started to rant to me "Ugh You're so lucky you weren't here earlier. Dealing with two egotistical arrogant boys is terrible" I laughed at her comment about Drew and Gary. We all used to be best friends and recently our friendship has been going downhill. Gary started to become a player and was going out with so many different girls. Drew became extremely popular especially since he became really hot and irresistible(according to Brianna). They both annoying Leaf and I to the end of the world. Gary and Drew were polar opposites dating wise, Drew turned down Everton and Gary took out every girl he could. Gary was the captain or the basketball team and Drew was the captain of the football team. Leaf was the captain of the volleyball team and I was the captain of the soccer team. "May???" I snapped out of my thoughts as I saw Leaf's hand waving in front of my face. "Yeah?" I asked. "Day dreaming about Drew again aren't you" She replied. I waved my hands up in defence and retorted "Why would I be daydream about an arrogant egotistical jerk" Leaf burst end out in giggles. "Who's an arrogant egotistical jerk?" I sighed as two boys approached us. "Speaking of the Devils" She whispered. "Someone" I told them. "Very specific, June" Drew replied, his emerald green eyes piercing my soul. "Shut up Grasshead" I retorted, my sapphire eyes glaring back at him. "Come on don't start fighting now, we all have home room together in 5 minutes" Leaf told us. We walked down the hall together and went inside our class. We sat the the four desks in the back right corner near the windows as usual. I could see Brianna glaring at me in the corner of my eye, oh did I forget to mention that she has the biggest crush on Drew and thinks that I'm going to take him away from her. Drew has rejected her about 100 times by now since 9th grade and she hasn't given up. "GARY STOP CALLING ME LEAFY HOW MANY TIMES DO I NEED TO TELL YOU IN ORDER TO GET YOU TO SHUT UP?" Leaf's sudden burst had the whole class turning to stare at her. She was so lucky our teacher hadn't arrived yet. She blushed and I just laughed at her. Gary smirked and Leaf punched him lightly on the shoulder. The room fell into complete silence when the teacher Ms Soledad walked into the class. "Today we will be having double battles" She said. Everyone cheered but she silenced everyone "Partners of my choice" Everyone groaned and she began writing the partners on the board. 1. May and Drew 2. Leaf and Gary 3. Brianna and Brendan 4. Veronica and Red And so on... "We're going to win" I heard Drew whisper. I nodded in agreement with him and asked "Who are we using?" We both knew each other's teams inside out because we were so close well used to be. "Wanna show off mega evolutions?" He asked me. "Sure" I replied smiling. We both immediately knew who each other were using. My key stone was on my necklace and my for my poke balls you may ask. I was given a special gift that shrunk the balls into charms and if I tapped the charms on my bracelet the Pokemon would be let out. "The battles are now on the board" Ms Soledad told us. Her voice was drowned out by Leaf and Gary's bickering. I sighed what happened to the two of them, they used to be best of friends when they were younger. Drew and I were battling Brianna and Brendan. I knew that Brendan would be hard to beat because my dad was really good friends with his but we never hung out much. His dad was the Pokemon professor of this region and Brendan was a strong battler. Brianna was probably going to drag him downhill in the battle. Meanwhile Leaf and Gary were battling Veronica and Red. Leaf's Leafeon and Gary's Umbreon were a power house. They easily knocked out Veronica's Evee and were in the midst of beating Red's Pikachu. Veronica was also a huge admirer of Gary's so she tried to have the same Pokemon as him hence the Evee. After another 10minutes it was Drew and I's turn. "Vibrava lets go" Brianna announced. I smirked at her trying to breed it into a Flygon like Drew. "Sceptile come on out" Brendan said. I saw his key stone on his glove and the mega stone was on a glove that was slipped on Sceptile's hand. "Blazekin, take the stage!" I exclaimed as I tapped the charm. My Blazekin towered over everyone in the room and everyone was slightly frightened. "Absol" Drew plainly said. He tossed his pokeball and his Absol stood beside its fierce partner. "Sceptile mega evolve" Brendan announced. Mega Sceptile glared at Blazekin and Absol. I turned to look at Drew and he nodded. "Blazekin/Absol Mega Evolve" We said in sync. "Shadow ball" Drew said. "Supper charge it with flame thrower" I added. It smashed into Vibrava and Brianna scowled. Vibrava fainted and Brianna looked like she wanted to kill me. I smirked and she returned Vibrava and stormed back to her seat. "Over Heat" I said. "Boost that with dark pulse" Drew said. Sceptile looked badly injured but hadn't fainted yet. "Use leaf storm to protect yourself and use ingrain" Brendan said. "Fire Spin" I announced. The leaves disappeared in burnt crips on the ground. "Play rough" Drew commanded.
