A/N;; I AM EVIL. I LOVE YOU ALL OKAY.
“Look, you can't tell anybody.”
“As long as our deal is held up.”
“Why do you even need me?”
“To keep my place at this school, obviously.”
I placed my hand over my mouth to keep myself quiet as I heard Calum and Alexa talking, 'accidentally' tuning in to their conversation.
“You're flawless and you're somewhat smart, you don't need me for anything besides people to want you.”
I could practically feel Alexa's smirk.
“I know, but you make me look so good, baby,” Calum sighed as she spoke,
“As long as you're the only one who knows.”
“I am babe. I have a writing class, so I'll catch up with you later alright?” She kissed his cheek and walked off. I thought it would be a good time to leave, so I walked from behind the corner where I was and pretended to just be passing by.
I almost fully walked by Calum when he put his hand on my shoulder, making my muscles tense.
“Hey, you're the girl that cleaned me up the other day at the game, right? I never got your name.” He remembered me, how flattering.
“I don't think you need to know my name, there's no point.”
“Why not?”
“Uhm, well I mean we never talk and we don't have any classes together..”
“Oh c'mon, just tell me your name.”
“Noelle. My name is Noelle.” I'm not sure why I was being so stubborn or shy, I've never been like this.
“Ah, alright. Mind if I walk you to your class?”
“No,” I shrugged, “I mean- no, I don't mind,” I laughed nervously, hoping he didn't pick up. Thankfully, it looked like he didn't, or he just didn't want to call me out on it.
“So, how are things with Alexa?” I questioned, trying to make small talk as he walked with me to Geology 310. His jaw tensed at my question.
“They're great, thanks. Do you have a boyfriend? Or girlfriend, I don't judge,” I smiled when he added the last part but shook my head.
“No, I'm not really big with the whole relationship thing.”
“Yeah, I thought I wasn't either. Alexa changed me I guess you could say,” he lied, but he didn't know that I knew he was being held at gunpoint.
“That's cool.”
“Yeah, I suppose so. So hey, what are you majoring in?” He asked me, and I motioned towards my geology textbooks.
“Geology, and as a matter of fact, this is my class,” I responded quietly, nodding at the class labeled 'GEO310'. Calum nodded.
“Alright, enjoy. See ya around,” he smiled at me and I headed into class.
I was restless all period.
I had to talk to somebody. As soon as class ended, I rushed to my dorm to put my books on my shelf and then texted Blaise;
'meet me at coffee break, it's important!'
A few seconds after, I got a reply.
'omw.'
Putting my phone in my back pocket, I quickly walked to Coffee Break, the campuses main meeting place.
Blaise walked in a minute after me and made his way over to me.
“What's the emergency?” He asked as soon as he was in my hearing range.
“I have an update on the whole Cal – Alexa thing. But we need code names.”
“Alexa can be Alaska?” Blaise suggested and I nodded, “Calum can be..” he started, but I cut him off.
“Cookie.”
“Hungry much, Noelle?”
I only shrugged to this and continued.
“Anyways,” I explained to him with great detail everything that I saw and everything that happened up until this point.
“So it's true, Alaska does have something on Cookie.”
“She's got him at gunpoint.”
“And hey, he knows your name now!” I gave him a playful glare and finally ordered myself a coffee.
“Baby!” I heard a new voice interrupt, looking up to see an overjoyed Luke at that sight of Blaise.
“Hi babe!” Blaise chirped, standing up to hug Luke, pecking his lips quickly before sitting back down. Luke pulled up a seat, holding Blaise's hand.
“Awww,” I cooed, making a heart with my hands which caused both boys to blush but grin like idiots. It was adorable. Luke and Blaise were both scary as hell on the ice, and it was weird, because off the ice they were the most gentle things to each other and mostly everybody else. They were both openly gay, and nobody really had a problem with it because if somebody started something, the entire hockey team got involved. It's amazing how close they are, the Eagles. They're like family, basically. I loved that about them, it kind of reminded me of my family. Kaylee and I were sisters, and we had an older brother, Jack. We always stuck together, no matter what grade, we had each other's backs. Of course, that made school so much easier. Sadly, we don't really see Jack that much anymore. I'm hoping to change that once I graduate.
“As much as I love you two, and everything about your relationship, I'm gonna go take a walk. I'll meet up with you guys later. Have fun at practice,” I smiled politely at them, pushing my chair in and leaving, taking my coffee with me. I left Coffee Break, drumming my fingers on the side of my cup as I walked.
I didn't have a specific destination, I just didn't know what to do. Kaylee was in class, Blaise and Luke were being all mushy, Fletch and Taylor were probably off fucking, and I really had nobody to talk to.
There's a small park where you can just come and sit in the center of the campus, and it was a great place to meet people or just sit, read a book maybe, get homework done. It was always peaceful and it wasn't usually crowded.
I changed direction slightly [A/N;; but there's only one direction *failed wink] and headed for the park.
“You!” A voice stopped me, making me drop my coffee.
Dammit, that was a good coffee.
I frowned down at the open and spilled cup before turning to face Al- wait, Alexa?
