(Hiii! So. Finally back to the present. Just a warning, with so many people in this chapter, there will be a LOT of POV switches. Sorry :P. Also yayyyy Mumbo and X! Enjoy this chapter, luvs!)

The next day, 11:00 am (ish, maybe like 11:27 or something idk)

POV Mumbo

As Mumbo left his base with Xisuma, his mind started wandering to what could be happening with Grian. His best friend. Was he okay? What happened to him? Not finding any answers within his speculations, he let his mind go blank and focused on the flight to Grian's base.

POV Xisuma

X glanced over at Mumbo, who had a worried yet determined look on his mustached face. The bee-armoured man truly cared for G, even if the redstoner didn't realise it, even if he thought he was the only one. They were all a family on Hermitcraft, and family takes care of their own. Even if they were annoying little gremlins most of the time. Xisuma really hoped that the short hermit was fine, however unlikely it was that nothing big had happened.

POV Grian

Grian was just mindlessly filling the walls of his base, passing the time until his meeting with Tango when he heard a loud thump, followed by slightly muffled laughter, coming from outside. What time was it? Did Tango decide to come over to his base instead of vice-versa? Checking his clock, he realized it was much to early for that, since Tango had something in the morning. He decided to go check what it was, hiding his wings and horns (Tango taught him how to yesterday) as a precaution. He opened the door and...

"Mumbo?!? X? What are you two doing here?" He quickly diverted his gaze so they wouldn't notice his new eyes. He wasn't ashamed, totally not, but he just... didn't want anyone else to know quite yet.

Sharing a glance with Mumbo, Xisuma stepped forwards. "Grian, we're worried about you. There haven't been any pranks coming from you in ages, you barely talk to anyone, and you haven't uploaded a video in ages! Are you okay?"

The short builder was momentarily stunned, had it really been so long since he interacted with the Viewers? They must be so concerned, he didn't give them any notice. He quickly came back to reality and answered the Admin. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a bit busy. Personal... Stuff..." He finished weakly, guessing that they wouldn't just accept this answer and walk away.

They didn't.

Mr. Jumbo then took the spotlight, putting his hand on the older hermit's shoulder. "G, you know you can talk to us right? About anything. We're here for you."

Grian just couldn't bring himself to look at Mumbo, he knew that the tall englishman's face would be full of concern and... feelings. Ugh. So unnecessary. He pushed his friend's hand off his shoulder, turned around, and repeated himself. "I said, I'm fine. Now, if you'll excuse me-"

"No, Grian!" Xisuma grabbed his arm, trying to drag him around to face them. "We're your friends, your family! You can trust us! Why don't you just tell us what's going on?"

Grian whirled around, finally meeting the Admin's eyes, who gasped. The builder's eyes, normally so full of mischief and laughter, were now silver, full of anger and brimming with tears, which he quickly wiped away. Grian spoke, giving a cold, cruel laugh. "You see now, don't you. I've changed, Xisuma Void. Leave. Me. Alone." He turned once more, and looked over his shoulder at his fellow Hermits. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm meeting with Tango this afternoon. Good day."

POV Xisuma

Grian whirled around, finally meeting the Admin's eyes, who gasped. His helmet started snding him warning messages, something about The Stone Wrath or some crap like that. What was taking all X's attention, however, was the short hermit's eyes. They were beautiful, swirling pools of silver and blood red, but with so much hatred in them he couldn't recognise the Grian he had come to know and love. "You see now, don't you. I've changed, Xisuma Void." Xisuma started at the use of his full name, and didn't hear anything after that. Somehow, he knew that Grian wasn't saying the name he gave the Viewers, which was Xisumavoid, all one word. No, the short hermit had said Xisuma Void, the name given to him by his father. The one he hadn't heard in years. He was vaguely aware of Grian leaving, but he was just standing in one place in shock, trying desperately to process what he had just witnessed, what he had just caused! He staggered back a couple steps, drawing the attention of Mumbo with a few mumbled words before collapsing onto the ground, still staring into space in shock.
