Alexandra POV
I sat on the floor with uncle Jesse, we were playing a racing video game. For once he was winning, but only because I was distracted with everyone in the house getting ready to leave. They were going to leave for the race soon so everyone else was still upstairs getting ready. Aunt Mia was in the kitchen making sure that I had food for when my babysitter, Emily, would come over to watch me. She was a typical babysitter as soon as everyone left she would try to make me play a game or something. I never want to though so I usually go upstairs and play in my room, while she watches tv downstairs.
The doorbell rang meaning she was here. I didn't even finish the game with uncle Jesse and just went upstairs to my room. Aunt Mia passed me as she walked to the door to let her inside.
"Where are you going?" she questioned me.
"My room" I responded blandly. She scoffed and didn't even bother to say anything else.
I heard the front door open but I shut my bedroom door before I heard much else. I sat on the and floor played with some toy cars I had till I heard my bedroom door open and both of my parents stepped in.
"We're about to go, baby, do you need anything?" my mom asked
"For you to stay?" I asked using my puppy dog eyes.
"We will be back before you even realize we are gone" dad responded
"I really doubt that," I said slightly annoyed as I turned back around to play with my cars.
"Okay we love you," mom said
"Love you to" I responded with my back turned to them. It was silent for a moment before I heard the door close and for a few sweet moments, it was silent. But sadly all good things have to end and I heard her footsteps coming up the stairs and she slowly opened the door and stuck her head in.
"Hey Girly!" she said happily.
"Hi," I said, not even looking at her. She gathered from the blandness of my response there was definitely no way I was going to do anything with her tonight
"Oh. Okay, well I'm going to go downstairs and if you need me come get me" she said kind of upset. I don't even know why she tries so hard to get me to do things with her, she is a teenager and I am just a kid. It wasn't that I didn't like her I did, she was fine. She just tried so hard.
The night continued just like it usually would, I stayed in my room, she watches TV, I go downstairs and eat dinner, I go back and play in my room for a little bit longer, and then she makes me go to bed. I was supposed to be sleeping, but shocker, I wasn't. I heard the front door open and voices. Which always meant they were home and Emily was gone. I, unfortunately, made the mistake to get out of bed and see who was home
I stayed in bed for a few minutes and waited. I decided to creep out of my bedroom and see who was home as I peeked at the top of the stairs I saw lots of different people partying and being loud, and they wonder why I don't sleep on party nights. Uncle Leon with some blond on his lap and my mom laying on the floor playing the same video game I was playing with Uncle Jesse earlier. I couldn't see Aunt Mia so I guessed she was in her room, Uncle Jesse was kissing some girl in the corner, and Uncle Vince drinking a beer in the other corner. Out of all the people I expected to see downstairs the one person who I thought would be there wasn't, my dad.
"Who's the kid?" the big mouth blonde on Uncle Leon's lap asked. Unfortunately, she said it loud enough so my mom heard she paused her game and came upstairs and put me back in bed. I could tell she was annoyed.
"Is it me?" I asked as we walked back to my room
"What?" she asked as she opened my door.
"You're mad I can tell, is it me? I'm sorry I got out of bed" I apologized as I got back into bed.
