I took a long sigh and got outta bed. I checked my phone and saw a text from Daniel. The father of my kids. "Daniel: Coming to get the kids in about an hour. Fine ?" I looked at my clock to see that it is 9:00. "Me: it's so early but alright" I came out my room and down into the kitchen to see my little five year old balancing on about six pots trying to reach his cereal. "Logan baby noooo you don't do that you come to me first you could get hurt" I said as I got the cereal and took him off the pots. "But mommy I didn't wanna wake you but I had to call you because my plan wasn't working" he said in defeat. I giggled and kissed him. "It's ok baby but daddy is coming to pick up you and Taren soon so you gotta get ready . Where is she ?" "Upstairs sleeping when I last checked". "Okay baby." I went back up the stairs of our small loft style apartment. I opened the pretty pink door to see my little girl coloring a picture. she looked up at me and smiled "Mommy! Mommy ! Look at what I drew !" "wow baby it's so pretty give mommy kiss" she kissed me on my nose." Daddy is coming soon baby so you gotta get ready. Let's get you dressed ." "Yay ok ! But I pick out my own clothes mommy im a big girl ! I'm three ! " "Ok miss Big girl !" I helped her bathe and brush her teeth and hair then left her to get dressed. I packed Logan and Taren's bags while they got ready. Soon enough they came out dressed and ready. Then I heard the doorbell. I went to the door and saw Daniel. The kids ran to him "DADDYYY" He smiled and picked them both up. "How's my favorite two people on the whole wide world?" "Fineee. And daddy look what I drew its for youuu." Taren held up the picture she drew this morning. "wow baby it's beautiful I love it we'll put it on my fridge later on." They both smiled. Then Daniel looked at me. "Hey guys go get your toys and bags while I talk to mommy ok ?" "Ok!" They said and ran up the stairs. We took a seat at the island in the kitchen. "Thanks for letting me have them for today Angel..." "It's nothing.." I said bluntly. I honestly don't want have a conversation with him right now I'm not in the mood. "Are you ok Angie ?" "I'm fine and don't call me Angie" "Listen Angel I-" "Listen Daniel im really not in the mood for this today ok ?" I snapped. He sighed "Alright but here" he handed me a money envelope. "Put it in the kids' account I don't want it." He sighed "It's for rent Angel you gotta take it I don't know why you not taking money from anybody right now you need it." He was right. I was out of a job right now and I need money. I don't even take from my parents. That's just how I am. Self reliant. "Yeah well I'll find the money" I said dryly. "Angel can you please just forget about what's going on between us and htake the damn money ! You fucking need it so stop being so damn stubborn and take this shit !" He yelled. I got quiet and took the money. I put my head in my hands. Daniel sighed and got up because the kids came around the corner." Ready !" Said Logan. Daniel gave me a little smile. "I'll talk to you later Angel. Say bye to mommy guys." "Bye Mommy We love you!" They said and gave me kisses. " I love you guys too . And. With that they left.

I got the kids buckled in the car and drove off. It's usually like that whenever I visit Angel. She's so stubborn but I wasn't gonna let her leave the money she needs it. I fell in love with Angel when I was fifteen and she was fourteen. We've been together ever since but right now we're on a break. When Angel was 17 she got pregnant with Logan. I was so happy and so was she but we were a little worried because I was in college and Angel planned to go. She still went but when Angel had Logan she had to do online courses. While we were in college Angel got pregnant with Taren. Logan was only two. I love that girl with all my heart but I fucked up our relationship about a year and a half ago I had sex with this girl I met at some club multiple times but I wasn't even sober when it happened. Angel was pregnant at the time and she was already insecure about herself so she was twice as hurt and decided to take a break from me. Unfortunately, she didn't even have the baby. She had a miscarriage due to stress. After that she was at a very low point in her life emotional wise. She never even finished college. There was time were I had to take the kids for a few days because she was so broken. "Daddy can we go get Mcnuggets ?" "Of course princess." I mad the turn for McDonald's to get my loves some nuggets.
