Chapter 42

(A/N: Hi everyone, hope you've had a good week! I hope you are also enjoying the story, last chapter had a concerning finish with Addison's Dad, lets hope he is ok! As always, let me know in the comments what you think of the chapter, it may seem like a short chapter, if it does then I apologise, I sort of struggled to get it done, I have the ideas for chapters but then when it comes to writing them, it seems like my idea is only like 4 pages worth and I find myself having to think up some stuff to bulk it out a little. Next chapter will be I guess somewhat exciting. I have got a chapter at some point that will focus on something quite sensitive, I'm not even sure if I'd be crossing a line with it, I mean, it won't be graphic or anything, but it'll give an idea of what it's about, I will put a warning because some of you may not want to read it anyway because it focuses on sexual assault.. but we'll see, I haven't written it yet so I don't know how it'll turn out. SONG IS INTENDED FOR NEAR THE CHAPTERS END! MORE OR LESS WHEN THE LINE 'WE'RE GOING TO DANCE' IS SAID! "DAD!" I scream as I rush to his side, he's clutching his chest as he looks in extreme pain.

"Get him on his side, Addi" Stefan instructs as he comes over to help me.

"Dad, can you hear me? Please, talk to me" I beg as I hold him.

"Hello, ambulance please" Stefan requests as he dials the emergency services.

"No, Stefan I'm fine, it's just a bit a chest pain, it comes and goes" Dad tells him.

"Yeah, he's breathing, it's my Father-In-Law, I think he's having a heart attack" Stefan says to the emergency operator. A heart attack? No, please no!

"Dad, please don't die, please, please don't die" I beg as tears start sliding down my face.

"I'm not going to die- Ahh!" Dad says and cries out in pain, trying to catch his breath.

"Stefan, do something!" I demand as I hold tight to Dads hand.

"Oh gosh, I'm so dizzy" Dad says closing his eyes.

"He's saying his dizzy, he's a little bit breathless and has severe chest pains" Stefan tells them on the phone. "The ambulance is on the way, Jamie" Stefan assures us.

"What are they saying?" I ask Stefan. Please don't die Dad, I can't lose you too!

"He's showing signs of a heart attack, so that's what they're treating this as" He answers.

"Addison, I'm sorry, I only want what's best for you, I want you safe" Dad says as he tries to take deep breaths.

"Keep him talking babe" Stefan instructs. "Yeah, I'm still here, he is conscious, he's talking to his daughter, my wife" Stefan tells the ambulance people.

"I know you want what's best for me, I've never been so happy in all of my life" I tell Dad. "Dad I can't lose you" I tell him.

"Oh, sweetheart, you'll never lose me" He says. He struggles in more pain.

"Dad, please, stay with me, keep talking" I beg as I lose all control of my emotions. "STEFAN WHERE'S THE AMBULANCE?!" I scream in fear.

"They're coming as fast as they can I promise" Stefan tries to assure me.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scream, just please tell them to hurry up" I say, in a more calm tone.

"I know, they'll be here very soon" He tells me.

"Addison, I need you to promise me something" Dad says, as he grunts in pain.

"Anything Dad, tell me and I'll do it" I say.
