Sandy's idea

A female gray anthropoid raccoon named Sandy Wilde was sweeping the engine bay while the station's fire chief, A human male named Blaze Fischer, was examining all their oxygen tanks for leaky valves. Sandy stopped sweeping looked over at Blaze and said "I have an idea."

"What's your idea?" Blaze asked

"Since we all live here all day every day let's expand and build apartment's so all of us can have privacy." Sandy replied.

"Oh draw up the plans of what you have in mind. I am going to schedule a meeting with your dad and the mayor." Blaze replied as an anthropoid female blue Merle Australian Shepard named Judy Cooper walked in. "The floors are mopped so be careful."

"Hey Judy come over here and take over. I need to make a couple of calls." Blaze said as he stood up from the stool he was sitting on.

"Sure what are you doing?" Judy asked sitting down on the stool.

"Just looking for leaky valves and tanks less than quarter full." Blaze replied as he walked into the office.

Judy looked over at Sandy and said "Should we be worried?"

"No I gave him an idea to remodel for the remodel he needs to talk to my dad and the mayor." Sandy replied as she finished sweeping.

"Oh what's the idea?" Judy replied finishing the tank she was working on.

"Add floors and create apartment style bedrooms for everyone. Two people per room."

"How are you planning this?" Judy asked grabbing another tank.

"Right now I am thinking everyone finds their own roommate." Sandy replied as she walked toward the office.

"Do you have one picked out for yourself?" Judy replied

"Not unless you want to be mine." Sandy said opening the door to the office

"Ah just in time. Your dad and the mayor also want you there since it's your idea." Blaze said as he put the phone back on the receiver

"Okay. I just came in for some paper a ruler and a pen or pencil." Sandy replied as she walked to another desk. She then left the office and sat down at the table in the kitchen.and started drawing one of the rooms she had in mind

Her boyfriend who was another blue Merle Australian Shepard named Chris Cooper walked in and said "Hey babe what are you drawing?"

"Floor plans for an apartment complex Blaze and I are talking about adding. Eventually I will swap you and bring you into my room but for right now I am rooming with your sister if our expansion is approved."

"Makes since." Chris said as he sat down on the opposite side of the table.

"You want to go around and take names for roommates?" Sandy asked sliding a sheet of printer paper over to him.

"Sure." Chris replied as he stood up and took the piece of paper grabbed a pen and left the kitchen.

Just then Sandy's two cousins Kade and Kody walked in Kade looked over Sandy's shoulder and said "We getting apartment expansions?"

"Hopefully." Sandy replied finishing the drawing and swapping to a blank piece of paper.

"I am making a roommate list." Chris said

Kade and Kody looked at each other for a few second then back at Chris and said in unison "Pair us as roommates for now"

As soon as Chris was outside the kitchen he said under his breath "Well that was creepy."

Sandy looked at Kade and Kody and said "Were you trying to bee creepy with your response?"

"No it just worked out that way." Kade said as he walked over to the stove.

"So what do you have panned for dinner?" Sandy asked looking back at the plans that she was drawing

"Well I am grilling chicken, and hamburgers while Kody fries up onion rings and make coleslaw." Kade replied

"Oh sounds good." Sandy replied as she finished drawing up the plans.

Blaze waled in and sat down across from her and asked "Done drawing the plans?"

Sandy put the pencil she was using down and said "Just finished. Chris is getting the roommate list sorted."

Half hour later Chris walked in and set the roommate list down and said "That's done." Sandy stood up and said "Well this is going up on the bulletin board as she walked over to the cork board.

The next day Sandy, Blaze, the city mayor and Sandy's father Steve were sitting in the office. "This is going to be a quick meeting. Sandy had an idea of adding floors and making apartments. We are just wanting permission for doing so." Blaze said.

Steve put out his right paw and said "Well since your here all day every day you have my permission. Eventually everyone's going to want that much privacy anyway." He then stood up and left.

The mayor looked at Blaze and Sandy and said "Yea we'll pay for the building with tax payer money but if the appliances come out of the firefighter's own pockets."

"Give me a minute." Sandy said and walked out. She then walked into the kitchen where everyone else was waiting patiently and asked "Is everyone here okay with buying their own apartment's appliances?" Everyone agreed and sandy returned to the office and said "That's doable."

"We'll then start preparing any equipment you don't want dirty and put the trucks where they won't get damaged I will send a contractor your way by Friday." the mayor replied signing a building permit

Sandy grabbed the permit after the mayor signed it and took it back to the kitchen and as she pinned it to the bulletin board said "We have the okay."

Blaze returned and said "I'll start looking for a storage unit right now. Starting tomorrow we'll take turns going on an off-duty appliance hunt. First up will be Sandy and Judy and we'll go right down this list." Blaze said as he walked to the fridge for a snack." As he grabbed somet5ing out of the fridge and said "You are allowed to leave the city but not the county and can start immediately and here are the keys to our errand truck."
