*Janus' POV*

Janus: Hey Lo.

I walk into the kitchen and wrap my arms around my boyfriend's waist. I was gonna sneak up on him with the classic "Guess who?" gimmick but he always knows it's me even if I pretend to be Roman.

Logan: Salutations Jay.

Janus: I haven't seen our boyfriend at all today... have you?

He sets down the potato peeler he was currently holding and stares off for a second.

Logan: I don't think I have... you don't think...

Janus: My god I hope not.

Logan: We better find him.

We split up looking all around the house but no sign of him.

We meet back up outside where Patton is trying to teach Remus how to garden properly while Virgil sits under a tree on his phone.

Logan: Salutations Patton, Remus, Virgil. Have any of you seen Roman?

Patton: I saw him this morning, he said that he was gonna take a walk and be back a bit after lunch.

Janus: Thanks Pat.

He smiles and turns back to his gardening.

Remus: Check that old tree house by the park. We used to go there a lot.

Virgil: And let us know when you find him ok?

Janus: Of course.

Virgil and Remus are the only other ones who know the real reason why Roman was in the hospital last year. We didn't give Pat all the details cuz we didn't want him to sink back into negative thinking and relapse.

We found Ro that night passed out in his room. Logan was the most level headed out of all of us. He called the ambulance right away and checked his pulse. Once we got to the hospital we all broke down. Especially when they told us he almost didn't make it.

Can you blame us? Vee was the one who technically found him first and called the rest of us up there immediately after seeing his best friend like that.

We later found out that he had an eating disorder, he was put into rehab by the hospital but he checked himself out after two weeks. He said he couldn't stand being there. That it made him feel trapped.

We only let him do it if he promised to check in with one or all of us everyday.

But today he hasn't.

Logan: He's ok... right?

Janus: He will be.

We got into the car and drove down to the park. We could've walked but driving is faster and this is important.

Once at the park we walked down the tree line till finding an old tree house. It's been there so long the tree and leaves have kinda grown around it so it's not easy to spot unless you know it's there.

At the top of the ladder, soft sobs are coming from inside. Logan and I exchange a glance and quickly head inside.

Roman was in a corner with his knees drawn up to his chest and his hands gripping his hair.

Logan: Roman?

Roman: G-go away! You c-can't see me like t-this...

Janus: Roman-

Roman: I'm sorry! I was getting b-better! I was! But I couldn't-

It was then I realized the small red lines going down one arm.

Logan notices too and runs over to his side.

Logan: Can I touch you?

He stares blankly for a second them nods slowly. Logan pulls him into a hug and I quickly join them, Roman crying more now.

Roman: I'm s-sorr-

Janus: There's no need to apologize Ro. It takes time to heal, but we're with you every step of the way. You'll get through this.

Logan: We love you Roman.

Roman: I l-love you guys too.

We sit there for a while just holding each other. Logan adding in some humming cuz he knows it calms Roman down.

After what was probably an hour Ro had fallen asleep from exhaustion. We decided to take him home so he can sleep more comfortably.

He woke up long enough to get down the ladder but immediately fell asleep again in Logan's arms while I drove. 

When we got home, Virgil, Remus, and Patton were watching TV in the living room. Patton asleep snuggled up to Remus and Remus with his arm around Virgil who was on his phone.

Virgil: Is he ok?

Logan: He is now, though I may need some assistance in finding the bandages.

Virgil and Remus both nod solemnly and Virgil gets up slowly careful not to wake Patton.

He helps us bandage Ro's arm then goes back into the living room. Logan sets Roman down softly on his bed but before we can do anything else Roman grabs our hands.

Roman: You're staying right?

Janus: Of course we are.

Logan: Do you need anything?

Roman: No, just... stay. Please.

Logan picks up the crackers from the nightstand he grabbed earlier and convinces Ro to eat a few.

Logan: Better?

He nods slowly and cuddles into us.

Roman: You guys are the best... I don't deserve you.

Janus: You deserve the world Love.

Roman: Whatever you say...

He yawns and falls asleep again. Logan smiles softly at him then at me before turning off the lamp and taking his glasses off. We both curl around Roman as if protecting him and drift off to sleep.
