The waiter brought James his coffee. James smiled and thanked the waiter. He raised the volume of his music and watched the rain out his window. He was thinking about his Best friend, Hailey. Hailey moved out of the school 2 months ago. They used to be so close together. But now they barely even talked. He felt alone. He wanted to cry, but tried to hold it in. He watched the rain and imagined the clouds were crying for him. This was very calming for him. He lowered the volume of his music to listen to the rain. As he finished his coffee, he closed his eyes, and remembered all the memories he and Hailey had. He felt like he was living his whole childhood over. He then got a message from his mom telling to come home and that she was almost finished with dinner. He lived alone with his mom. His mom and dad were divorced. His dad lived in Japan where he was studying to become a doctor. The waiter brought James his bill. James paid the waiter and left the café. He didn't bring an umbrella. He had to walk home in the pouring rain. He raised the volume of his music and began walking. He was still thinking of his childhood, where him and Hailey used to play on the playground, do puzzles and having fun. James felt devastated.

He approached his house and walked in. His mom was preparing dinner. His mom smiled at him, but he just ignored it and went to his room. He sat on his bed and looked at a framed picture. It was a picture of him and his friends from his old school, Harris and Jonathan. He missed hanging out with them. His mom opened the door and noticed he looked sad. His mom comforted him and ask him what was wrong. James didn't feel like answering, so he just stayed silent. His mom looked worried. She told him that if he ever wants to talk with someone, she will always be there. She walked out of the room. James turned to the window and started watching the rain. He felt very calm. He began thinking of his friends again. His mom called him down for dinner. He walked downstairs and sat at the dinner table. His mom put the food on the table, and they began eating. As James was eating, his moms phone started ringing. He noticed it was his father who was calling mom. Mom grabbed the phone and answered it, thinking James didn't see anything.

She ran to her room and started yelling. James was confused and ran upstairs. He leaned on his moms bedroom door. "No! You don't understand, I want BOTH my daughters back!". James suddenly froze in shock. "Please, I will even trade James for it!! I just want my daughters BACK!!". It went silent for a moment. James heard footsteps coming towards the door. He ran back downstairs to the dinner table. Mom came downstairs in a really happy mood. James asked his mom, Who were you yelling at?. His mom took a deep breath and said, Oh, I was just on a call with my co-worker, He didn't do his job right.. James looked confused. He finished his plate and put it by the dishes. He went to the living room and watched TV. His mom started washing the dishes. When his mom was finished with the dishes, he sat next to James and said in a happy voice. James, you have a sister!. James was confused. What do you mean? I am an only child. His mom looked worried and started to tear up. Well, I don't think you know the real story of your birth.... James froze. His mom took a deep breath and told him the story. He was never an only child. When dad found out that she was pregnant, he went crazy and divorced his mom. His mom was devastated. When James was born, he already had a sister named Bella.

It was very hard for mom to handle 2 kids at once. So when Bella and James were 1 month old, His mom and Dad agreed that they each keep one child. James asked his mom. Can we please go visit Bella!. James kept asking, but his mom kept saying no. James started to sob. Please! Just for One night, Please!. His mom finally gave up and said Yes. James smiled and thanked his mom. James and his mom agreed to visit them on the first week of school holidays. But mom was to afraid to call his dad. James sighed and grabbed moms phone. He called his dad and he answered and put it on speaker. He gave mom the phone and she took a deep breath. H-hello.. I was W-Wondering if you would like it if we came and visited for the weekend. His dad happily said yes, but he told mom to pretend that James and Bella were cousins and that Bella was staying at his house for the weekend. Mom agreed, even though James could hear everything. His mom hung up and smiled. You are finally going to meet your new sister!
