The Untold Story Of Alexei Mondonahin (Series, book 1, year 1)

The Train Ride

      Harry and Ron sat in their seats as the train pulls away from the station 9 3/4.  A girl about the size of a pinkie walk up to the the door.  "Hello, got room for one more," She asked softly.  "Sure," Ron said as he pulled out a wand from his pocket.  The girl exclaimed, "Thanks for letting me sit, I'm Alexei Mondonahin."  The girl was super skinny and tragically short.  She wore her puffy, wavy platinum blond hair down to her shoulders.  Her checks had a few freckles but not much.  Her eyes a deep green almost hazel but they were covered by square shaped glasses.  "I'm Harry and that's Ron," Harry said happily while Ron smirked and did a little wave.  A trolley cart rolled by the door of the seats, "Anything off the trolley dears?"  The older woman who was pushing the trolley asked.  "No thanks, I'm all set," Ron pulled out a smushed sandwich from the same pocket his wand came out of.  Harry got up as if it was is first time using money, "We'll take the lot," he said. 
        As the three were eating all the candy Harry just bought them Alexei asked, "have you guys practice your magic yet?"  Ron explained how his brother taught him how to turn his rat yellow.  As soon as he was done talking a girl with wild, untamed hair come in, "have any of you guys seen a frog, a boy says he's lost one," she says, "are you doing magic," she quickly changes the subject.  "Let's see then!"  Ron waved his wand and said the words, "Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, turn this stupid, fat rat yellow." The wand produced a light shock to the rat and the rat remand the same.  They were all a little disappointed.  "I've created a simple lip balm that makes you tell the truth," Alexei explained.  The other girl didn't seem to happy that someone else was also practicing magic.  "That's wicked, Ron gasped.  The girl looked over at Harry and did a charm to fix his glasses.  "Holy crickets!  You're Harry Potter," she got excited.  "I'm Hermione Granger,"  she took a glance at Ron and asked, "and you are?"  "Ro-" he stutters, "Ron Weasley!"  Hermione said sarcastically, "pleasure."  "I'm Alexei Mondonahin," Alexei said excitedly.  Hermione nodded her head and then said "You guys better get your robes on, I expect we'll be there soon."
