"Scam Line"
"Faye, don't trust anything that someone will tell you.", napakunot ang noo ko ng marinig ang sinabi niya.
"What?...What do you mean?"
"Someone will come on your way and will ruin your relationship. She is crazy for your boyfriend who will do everything just to get him."
"Do you think we need to worry about that?", natatawa kong sagot sa kanya.
If that someone is really not trustworthy, I think I don't even need to worry because I trust enough my boyfriend.
"Yes!", I got surprised when he raise his tone. "You will wish that you never have to deal with her."
"Teka nga lang...Is that someone...is someone you know personally?", I got suspicious with him cause he never once raise his voice to me...just this time.
It take a minute for him to speak again and what he said almost makes my world to crash.
"Amy...she is a crazy witch who has a feelings for your boyfriend since we were kid. But because her family choose to stay all these years to their home abroad, she had to come with them so she had no time in pursuing him. Y-You see, when Dhale and you got together, she came back and claiming the one she like neverminding the fact that she never own him to begin with. 'Besides Dhale is already mine, thanks to his sick brother.' ...that was exactly what she said.", habang sinasabi niya yon ay pahina nang pahina...like he's losing his courage to tell me the whole truth.
As much as I want to stop him from talking because it might affect his health, I can't...Little part of me want to spoil myself to hear the truth so I can prove my assumption running in my head.

Nararamdaman ko na naman na nag-iinit ang sulok ng aking mga mata as I remembered it and I think my prof notice me when her eyes accidentally landed on me.
"Are you ok, Miss Faye?"
"Yes, Miss", I forced a smile so she can believe that I am fine at all.
"Okay...Can you give us another example of scam?..Aside from those already given by your blockmates."
Suddenly some memories flashed in my mind...na parang yun ang dapat kong isagot sa aming prof.

"Magpapagaling ako. I will survive...I will help you and Kuya... whatever it takes... Remember that...and when the time comes, I will watch you as you live happily together again with my Kuya."
"I will love and choose you always, whatever happens and for whatever it takes.", the whole class took silent as they want to hear more from me.
"That line seems really sweet especially when it came from the one you truly love, it feels different, surreal and I can attest to that. But once it was broken, it feels much more different, nga lang malalim.
Di ka kaagad makakaahon...many things attached to it...you started questioning countless reasons why you end up with a broken promises. That is the worst part. Kung ang ibang scam ay nilinlang ka at feeling mo naloko ka lang...well..this kind of scam is much more different...
Imagine isang scam line lang pala ang kukuwestyun sa buong pagkatao at halaga mo."
After I said that, I closed my eyes as I see Dhale happily playing with his daughter...with Amy beside him, laughing at them.
And my bestfriend who finally recovered from his illness, smiling yet can see his concern eyes on me.
It's okay, my bestfriend, we can't do anything with his decision. It's his life.
Never thought, he can be more happy without me.
